Chris Matthews hearts Tom DeLay

To describe how lovingly the MSNBC host treated the congressman on Tuesday night would require language that we would rather not to use on a family Web site.

The letters thread is now closed.

Chris Matthews is George Bush's Monica Lewinsky.

Chris Matthews is George Bush's Monica Lewinsky only his service is more comprehensive and tobacoe free.

Errr, Matthews a reporter?

Mr. Manjoo, have you been watching Chris Matthews at all, or are you pretending to be naive when you ask "isn't Matthews supposed to be a reporter?" Of course he isn't. He's a Republican parrot, and everybody who's watched more than five minutes of him knows it. Being wide-eyed about Matthews -- gosh, he's being so unFAIR -- seems to be unnecessary to make your point that he's a hack.

Thursday, April 6, 2006 05:02 PM

don't you get it

Chris is auditioning for Fox News (oxymoron) or to be Limbaugh's

sidekick. Don't watch Harball.( another oxymoron ) And don't watch his Sunday morning show and let the advertisers that sponser both shows that you will not buy their products or use their services.

There are many real and intelligent journalists that can fill these timeslots. Some already work for NBC and MSNBC.

Please stick your nose in the litter box and clean it!

Soft Balls

Matthews has sold his soul for thirty pieces of silver. He makes Geraldo look legitimate. Check out Soft Balls ratings. KKKris could hold a convention of admirers in a phone booth.

Matthews is just

a more exhuberant version of McCain. I see no difference in how he acts like a lapdog to the right, then offers small gestures of bipartisanship to the left when caught in order to be exonerated by "moderate" critics.

And yes, I'm talking about you.

The Chris Matthews Show

The show can hardly be called hardball. Chris interviewed Victoria Clarke, formerly of the Pentagon, in the same manner a few weeks ago. Ms. Clarke essentially ran the interview and dominated the discussion making point after partisan point with Chris acting much like her lap dog.

This show is as hard as Fox news is balanced. I figure it's a ratings thing.

CHRIS MATTHEWS IS NOT A 5 DOLLAR WHORE

He does it for free... technically, he pays for it. That'd make him a john, not a whore.

But, if you prefer the whore analogy, he'd be a crack whore, with repubic-lican taste in his mouth being his drug of choice.

I don't care if these people have TV shows, but there should be a law against even pretending it is news.

freedom kiss

It's one thing to kiss fascist ass, and quite another to French (freedom) kiss it. Matthews is a five dollar whore. My apologies to whores everywhere.

Farhad hearts John McCain

Honestly, this guy calls himself a journalist?

His work is embarrassing to read, but not quite as pathetic as his responses to all the stuff he doesn't get right before deadline.

What a waste of oxygen.

Thursday, April 6, 2006 08:24 AM

Mathews is nothing but a rightwing hack dressed in a journalist outfit.

I never thought Mathews was capable of performing oral job for soon-to-be-felons as this clip has recently shown.

Chris Matthews

Thank God I don't get cable.

Sweet Jesus I absolutely hate Chris Matthews

Pick anybody at FOX, O'Dildo, Brit Fume, Gin-soak Gibson, little fatty boy Cavuto, you name 'em, I despise 'em.

But I've got a special place dead center of my toilet bowl for Screaming Spitting Baby Head Chris Matthews. Why?

Because he enjoys pretending to "play hardball" when it's tiresomely obvious that he's a fawning, obsequious Republican butt-licker.

MSNBC is just a poor imitation of FOX trying to elbow a little market share from the goose-stepping Murdoch.

Look at the lineup:

Don Ignoramus in the morning -- a dry drunk you might find working in an auto parts store, elevated to the position of oracle-from-the-dude-ranch.

Danny Abrams -- Narcissitic snot rag with his trademark derisive "C'mon" as the only tool in his shed.

Creepy Joe Scarborough -- Smarmy populist demigog from the Redneck Riviera. Add hypocrite for his personal life vs. the "family values" he preaches.

Rita Cosby -- Call her a ghoul, call her a bloody hyena racing to the next road kill, whatever, but she always seems to be two steps late to the carnage behind Greta Von Facelift and the perpetually sneering Nancy Graceless. When they finally find Natalee Holloway's rotting corpse you can bet these three bitches will be snarling and snapping at each other over the fetted remains.

And finally, there's Keith Olbermann, my personal biggest disappointment on MSNBC -- He's the only one with potential, the only one with a soul and a brain, and yet he squanders what could be the most biting news/commentary show of any network with worn-out gags like Celebrity News, Top Three Soundbites, Worst Persons in the World and other time-wasting crap. Keith, if you are reading this, grow up!

matthews/delay

thank you, farhad manjoo: please keep telling it like it IS!

Thursday, April 6, 2006 06:11 AM

Matthews is on the American Taliban's payroll

He is just doing what he is being paid for: shilling for the psychopaths who are destroying this country.

Why watch his show at all? He is predictable, hence boring.

DeLay sets the terms for Matthews repayment

Matthews: I owe you. I owe you.

DeLay: You want to blow me here during the break or shall we retire to the green room afterwards?

Once upon a time I bought the nonsense that Matthews was indy, objective, hard-questioning. It's all a front and he is a complete fraud. He loves up his Repuke guests, disses every Dem, and always finds snide ways to twist and distort Dem positions to cast them in a bad light.

My disgust for Matthews reached its zenith during the Dem and Repuke convention coverage on MSNBC where blondie regularly showed his con-luvin' bias. Man I hate that guy.

Matthews is a shameless suck up...a perfect example of self-possessed MSM emptiness.

He's not a journalist!

Why do any of you refer to Chris Matthews as a journalist? A journalist is someone who observes, investigates, writes a story and then reports it. Chris Matthews is an ex-congressional aide. Now he's a cable gas bag. The fact that he is on a so-called news network doesn't make him a newsman, or his show a news show.

He's no more interested in reasoned debate or fact finding than Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly. His continually putting words in his guests’ mouths proves it. His hypocrisy regarding the equivalence of impeachment for perjury, regarding Paula Jones and Monica Lewinsky, as opposed to impeachment for abuse of power, torture, a war of aggression and violation of the Bill of Rights, confirms it.

Wednesday, April 5, 2006 04:35 PM

Impeachment hypocrisy

Matthews spent quite a bit of time exasperating over the possibility that the Dems would impeach Bush for spying on Americans without warrants, etc. Cut to commercial. He then credited Delay with the *accomplishment* of impeaching Clinton for lying about and extra-marital affair. I once gave him the benefit of the doubt. No longer. Matthews is a complete Repub hack pretending to be impartial.
