How in the world John McCain retained his "tough maverick" identity after nearly six years of fellating Commander Codpiece is beyond me entirely. After what those Rovian pricks did to him in South Carolina in '00 should have had him at odds with Bushit as a matter of principle from then on. But, no, not Johnny Boy. The Democratic nominee could be Gore, Edwards, Clark, Dean, or a dark horse with an actual spine. Kerry and Hillary need not apply. Ever.
