"A Fox anchor quoted a viewer who wondered what "all the hype is about," then passed the time with coverage of a traffic accident in Arizona and in-depth, minute-by-minute analysis of "inconsistencies" in the story of a British man who is apparently accused of killing his wife and daughter."
And I'm certain the Fox anchor would never see the irony in that.
Interesting that his phrasing says it's the gun that did this--he pulled the trigger that shot the round. Kind of goes counter to the "guns don't kill people, people do" argument of the NRA.

""Fox correspondents reported that Whittington is mystified by all the "hooplah" about his medical condition; that birdshot isn't as big or as lethal as buckshot; and that Cheney may have initially said so little about the shooting because he was "personally devastated" by it and "erred on the side of privacy of his friend." "
Can't imagine who would make a big deal about spending a week or two in the hospital and suffering a minor heart attach. I mean that's something that we all do all of the time. Having just spent 10 days at my grandmother's hospital bedside, I know what a truely fun experince it can be. Why it must be all of that fun Whittington is having that is preventing him from issuing a statement.
My wife reminded me last night of the Clinton Test, which (as lefties) we're fond of. (The test: How would we be reacting to this if Clinton had done it -- or, in this case, Gore?)
The media on the right would certainly be calling for him to be shackled. But how about the media on the left?
How is this different from the president getting a blow job in the Oval Office -- an act of regrettable judgement, performed as a private citizen (to the degree that our politicians can be private citizens)?
Now that Dick has accepted full responsibility as the shooter, it's clear that from the White House perspective, the incident is closed. Accepting blame in this administration has always meant avoiding any consequences.
Gee!... no kidding, Crashcart! What a shocker!
