Faith-based Math
This just points up the need to introduce Faith-based Mathematics in America's schools and universities, as an alternative to "secular mathematics."
After all, 1+1=2 is "just a theory". (Since no two particles of anything in the universe are exactly alike, you cannot PROVE that 1+1=2.)
In the Bible, however, 1+1=3 (See Adam + Eve = Cain), 3=1 (see the Trinity), and 5+2=multitude (see loaves and fishes). So Faith-based Math provides a valid alternative which students need for a "balanced" education.
And the advantage of Faith-based Math is that the Budget WOULD balance! A trillion in revenues minus 2 trillion in spending would, by faith, equal fiscal responsibility!
We don't need a better Congress, just better math.

Smoke gets in your mirrors
for a country that is expected to experience its fifth straight year of economic growth
Oh, sorry, I must've missed which country the New York Times was talking about. I know it's not this one, so maybe China?
The administration ... still insists ... that it will reduce the deficit by half by 2009
So even the administration is counting on a Democratic president in 2008. Then after a couple terms of rebuilding and getting the economy booming, they can take over in 2016 and loot it all again.
