If dreams came true, oh, wouldn't that be nice?

New Jersey is going to need a new senator. Here's one idea.

Come now

There are plenty of great Democrats in NJ. Why wish for the Boss? That's silly. We need experienced folks who can hit the ground running, not novelties.

How about Jon Stewart.

Jon Stewart is from Trenton, NJ.

Not again

How many times does this silly idea have to be brought up? The last time somebody sounded a call like this, Bruce said "If nominated, I will not run; if elected, I will not serve." He doesn't want to be a politician.

Lets go all the way

Just have Lou Reed carpet bag over from NY. I'd LOVE to see him take on Bill Frist.

It's anice fantasy though

As a big fan of the boss (his music and his politics), I wouldn't mind seeing him in the Senate, but, of course, it's not realisitic. Bruce has no interest in being a senator and there are other, better choices, as has already been pointed out.

Still, it's a nice Friday fantasy in a political landscape that has been all too distrubingly real since 2000.

how about the Governor?

How about Acting Gov. Richard J. Codey?

"who had considered running for a full term as governor but backed out after Mr. Corzine made clear that he was prepared to spend as much of his personal fortune as necessary to win the job."

There was an admiring Times article about him a couple of weeks ago (now behind there must pay for it wall). He probably could have one if he'd run. He seems like an actual regular guy.
