A little lost...
Even if Regan had all these magic powers of shooting lazer beams out of his eyes to free hostages, what does this have to do with the man who's actually spinning these yarns? Is Giuliani trying to badly allude that he, too, has lazer beams blasting out of his eyeballs to shoot down terrorists? I mean, he can talk all he wants about how awesomely amazing Regan was as a president, but what does Giuliani actually plan to DO?
Also, forbid there's actually non-Islamic terrorists, is Giuliani prepared to act in that situation?

I could see maybe the foreign press picking up this story and pointing out Giuliani's memory-hole nonsense, but the American press is largely going to treat this the same way they treated the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth and the various insane smears against Al Gore (you know, "inventor of the internet" and all that)... in other words, by maintaining absolute silence.
The American media are as liberal as the giant multi-billion-dollar trans-national conglomerates that own them.

Clarification
To clarify the anonymous statement. JC fukked up politically in the timing of the release of hostages since he did not get them released on his watch. He succeded in the fundamental goal of getting the hostages released. Also the Iranians obviously knew Ronnie was the next president and were looking for angles to manipulate him. Arms for hostages ring a bell?
Rudy and Ronnie fukked up at being honest human beings for taking credit not deserved. I wonder how anonymous would feel if someone else took credit for his work.
Rudy is the sterotype of the classless, groveling, say anything, do anything politician. The Gollum of our political landscape.

Giuliani IS a macho fable. All posturing, macho yap but no substance. Bill Maher- on his 'Real Time' last year, already showed at least three tapes-videos with Rudy cross-dressing at assorteed parties, events.
All that any owuld-be dem candidate has to do to beat Rudy in a face-off is to get hold of those tapes and show the great "hero of 9-11' in drag, mincing around with his coquettish clique.

Has the story that Reagan's people negotiated behind Carter's to keep the hostages in Iran until the election was over, been debunked? I thought there was direct evidence that that's exactly what happened.
When will Rudy tell that story? It probably has more truth to it than the fairy tale he's spinning..
And, by the way, I'll bet you anything if Rudy were confronted by someone with real balls, who could really rearrange that face of his, he'd fold up like wet newsprint. He's a total fake. How anyone can buy the crap he's selling is beyond me. But, then, a lot of people bought the crap Cheney and Bush were selling, so clearly I don't know shit.
