Joining in the celebration
I don't pay the premium subscription fee any longer, as I find the put-up-with advertising option to be just fine, but in case it counts to someone out there, I used to be a paying subscriber, and I've been a big fan of Salon since the mid 90's. It was the mix that attracted me and the mix that keeps me coming back. I'm a proud liberal, but I second the poster who suggested a Libertarian column. My liberal values are all about being open-minded and supporting the ACLU as well as liberal social policies. Group think--the idea of a one-party country--even if it's mine--that SCARES me!
