Keep anonymous option, thank you for policing off-topic
The thread hijackers who try to turn every thread onto their pet subjects, or get in a two person personal fight, or post many, many posts are a bigger problem to me than the name callers. I simply ignore the nasties most of the time. Sometimes I get weak, but it's good for me to remember that these people are just yanking chains most of the time. They don't care, or really even support the outrageous stuff they post.
I think it was appropriate to post the changes here.
If we could email through our handles, as they do on Beliefnet and TWOP, telling people to "take it offline" would be safer or easier. I like the Slashdot system. It allows a block poster option(now THAT would come in handy), ratings, etc.
Thank you for the changes. Most trolls tend to be casual. This will discourage the casual drive bys.
