It would be fine with me if you removed the anonymous option. Being able to see what an individual has posted over time is wonderfully helpful in figuring out if they are worth reading. It ought to cut down on the trolls too. It would be nice if you had a policy of simply banning people who consistently post crude ad hominem attacks.
The New Republic only allows subscribers to post. It has its share of right wing radicals, but the policy reduces the amount of mail and ensures that posters become familiar with one another.
I'm glad that Salon is keeping the posting open to all, but even more thrilled that you've added a layer of accountability.
