Why is Palin lying about state ethics probes?

She says Alaska spent "millions" probing "frivolous" issues. The cost was far less and some complaints were serious

@NotOrbitBoy

You are wrong. It has not been "proven" that ethics investigations cost the state 1.9 million. Those are figures put out by Palin herself with no back up documentation. Try again.

Sorry

It has not been "demonstrated" etc., etc.

clueless hypocrite = hypoditz. Good one, I like it. I was trying to come up with something that incorporated 'chutzpah', but your creation has made me give up.

My dear NotOrbitBoy,

Hate is the only thing keeping them from seeing Obama so expect the MSM top play up Palin as much as possible.

People who have no love are prone to hating. A lot of these Palin Haters just need to get laid.

Imagine if Joan Walsh woke up one morning not hating Sarah Palin.

Someone please make love to Joan Walsh.

You noticed she used the word "probing" and you ALL know what that really means.

@NotOrbitBoy

Let me try to help you:

http://theplumline.whorunsgov.com/republican-party/key-reason-palin-gave-for-quitting-appears-to-be-false/

The key paragraphs in this report are "In response to our questions, the Governor’s office provided us with a detailed breakdown of the millions Palin has claimed has gone to defending against ethics complaints. It does list roughly $1.9 million in expenditures.

But Murrow, the spokesperson, acknowledged to our reporter, Amanda Erickson, that this total was arrived at by adding up attorney hours spent on fending off complaints — based on the fixed salaries of lawyers in the governor’s office and the Department of Law. The money would have gone to the lawyers no matter what they were doing. The complaints are “just distracting them from other duties,” Murrow said.

In other words, while these lawyers might have been free to do other legal work for the state, the ethics complaints have apparently not had the real world impact Palin has claimed, and didn’t drain money away from cops, teachers, roads and other things.

Similarly, TPM reports that there are only three ethics complaints outstanding against the Palin administration in any case — which, combined with the above, casts serious doubts on one of her chief stated reasons for quitting."

Now what was Joan "lying" about?

@ Joan Walsh

"Is there a word for a hypocrite who's too clueless to realize she's a hypocrite? " Joan Walsh

Yes there is and it's also a name... it's Joan Walsh!!

Joan could spend time and do in depth research on Palin ethics investigations but did not see the necessity to do more than glance over the case history or what Bill O'Rielly was actually speaking against Dr Tiller for.

Like the pay and staff expenses of the 34 (and counting) Whitehouse Czars, that are illegally being put in place without Congressional oversight or accountability, Joan does not mention the costs of 80% of the Governors staffs time to deal with these allegations. $8,000.00 in travel expenses?,per diem? really how does this compare to Chris Dodd and the friends of Angelo schemes? How does this compare to the tax investigation of Charlie Rangle? Aren't they bigger fish to fry? Why does Joan remain silent on those issues and allows them to be quietly swept under the rug along with Speaker Pelosi's allegations about the CIA lying to Congress? Hypocracy that's why. Joan do you still consider yourself a journalist?

The harder they go after Sarah Palin the stronger and louder the voice she will have. So have at it Joan hit her with your best hypocritcal shots. Palin used the same tactics when she resigned as chair of Alaska's Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, how did that "crazy" and "bizzare" move work out for her? I believe she took on the Republican Governor and the Special Interest corruptive forces that had taken control of Alaska and against the predictions of all the expert pundits she won. So tell me why should we believe any of these expert pundit anti Palin positions now?

Another consideration I haven't seen yet...

Why would the state foot the bill for defending her from ethics complaints anyway? It seems to me that if you are accused of breaking state law and not indigent, the defense costs are up to you.

@something maloderous

Sorry, but try and get your facts straight, as you delve into your pseudo-psychiatic blather...

It wasn't "Michelle Obama" wearing a peace sign t-shirt.

It was one of his young daughters.

Is it so hard to get something so simple...right?

Thursday, July 9, 2009 07:29 AM

correction...

something...uh..."malodorous"

amongst us....

Lying is the least of Palin's Problems

Obama is twice the liar she is, at least.

Palin's main problems are that she is arrogant, incurious, unintelligent, vindictive, and a poor executive (mayor or governor). Lucky for Alaska, her dumb ass is out of government.

Joan might do well to focus her questions about media passes on the lovefest with Obama. It is far more harmful to the republic.

"Ethics complaints against Gov. Sarah Palin and top members of her administration have cost the state personnel board nearly $300,000 over the past year, almost two-thirds of which appear to be from the Troopergate investigation of the governor.

liberty sez...

"It's acceptable that Sarah Palin attempted to defraud the State of Alaska out of $8,000...because...uh...wait for it...Chris Dodd got a sweetheart deal on his mortgage from his buddy Angelo."

I get it, now.

Thanks for making it clear.

My dear angrypoodle,

I stand corrected. The online picture was small and miscaptioned.

So, do his daughters know that their father is murdering children?

Do they know what a peace sign is?

Did Michelle either make the purchase or approve of the purchase?

Will that daughter ever be caught in public wearing that shirt again?

Was she grounded?

Was she spanked?

Was she "HellFIred"?

Will there be a state funeral that will be carried on al MSM outlets?

What daughter?

What shirt?

What picture of a shirt?

No further photos will be released.

OMG!

Michael Jackson is DEAD!!!
