She's can't take the heat, so she's going to secede. She's already endorsed the Alaska Independence Party, and her husband Todd is an active member.
She's got her oil, she's got her crazy faithful followers, she's got her wolf/bear/moose/seal killing mentality - the only thing left for her to do is to break away from the rest of the USA.
This is just the beginning of the complete and total demise of Sarah Palin - the outright lies and half truths are quickly catching up to her.
On the bright side, Happy Birthday, USA !! You just got rid of a wing-bat, lunatic, fringe politician !
Yippie !!
O.K. First with you OnTheBeat. Like a typical troll you mistate what someone wrote so you could twist it to suit your purposes. Calgodot wrote "As for the comments on this thread, no one says it better than Faulkner, Jr. and Xrandadu Hutman. Thanks, guys, for your always insightful ways of communicating my thoughts exactly." Anyone with half a brain could see that was merely a nice compliment Calgodot made, not a slavish statement of devotion.
You TrollOnTheBeat took that and wrote " Caloldgal: Thanks for "always communicating my thoughts exactly." This sums it up with liberals. Swallow what the Left media feeds you, don't expose yourself to other viewpoints, and say to yourself, "Oh yea...my thoughts exactly." (I mean, they are NOW, since a brilliant genius like Joan Walsh told me what to think."
Hutman and Faulkner, Jr are Left Media? Really? Because if they are I'd like to know who they write for as I agree with Calgodot and would like to read them on the websites they write for. They both provide insightful and humorous takes on the political noise of the day coming out of the right. Anyway, you not only took Calgodot's quote out of context you also attributed it incorrectly to Joan Walsh. So you're a disengenious liar, and all it took for me to figure that out was to look at Calgodots post to figure that out.
@Hutman-Yes, I'll accept your answer as correct. However, the book decided to quit so there is no prize.
@Readerreader-so you're claiming again that you're leaving the site. Please just stop. It's ok, you're addicted to Palin and Salon. It's cool. We get it, and though I don't share your Palin addiction, I love reading your torch song defense of her. Keep it up. It's quality entertainment.
@Paris- I agree with your analysis that it's the Republicans who are taking her out. Watching Ed Rollins on CNN calling her a kook leads me to believe the Repub spin will be to disown her. Rollins is a hack and if he's spouting that she's a kook, then you pretty much have the party line on her.
I think she has a chance to make big money, dancing around the country like Spiro Agnew
in drag. And/or something big is about to break and the powers that be in the RNC (big donors and lobbiests) advised her to get out, as a martyr to a far, far greater cause. How long before Murdoch hires her to replace Glen Beck?
Who else could knock Michael Jackson off the 24/7 news?
When we post about Sarah Palin, many Republicans get very angry, deny the truth of absolutely everything that we say, and think of names to call. This seems to us to be just really facile, juvenile debate. But the same Republicans get very angry, deny the truth of absolutely everything that we say, and think of names to call, no matter WHAT is said. This Palin, though...
"Which newspapers do you read, governor Palin?"
"Oh, um--all of them, all of them."
"Well--yes, but--which ones specifically. Can you name one that you often read?"
"All of them. All of them."
She could not think of one newspaper to pretend that she reads. And she was put forward, by these same name-calling, angry, deny-everything the opposition says Republicans, as a serious contender for the Vice Presidency. It just seems ridiculous to me. I've known educated women, Democrat, Republican, and from other parties. This is not an educated woman. She does not have any piercing intellectual curiosity, nor has she managed any serious course of study. It's just ridiculous. How could she even have been considered, even as a court-the-Walmart-shopper vote, as a serious candidate?
And how is it that the Republican Party doesn't see that, even though it's liberals that are saying that it's damaging to the Republican Party, it is, yes, in fact, damaging to the Republican Party? "Well, they're Democrats, so they must be wrong! Palin forever! And Rush Limbaugh for Vice President!" Well--okay, I mean, if you guys insist on doing this to yourself. I mean, is any Republican actually aware that they've lost the last election and both houses of Congress? I must be wrong about that too, though.
and this way Sarah preserves her self esteem and gets out from under actually succumbing to their garbage in an exposed position in office.
This is not going to help my insomnia, but here goes. Your last post is definitely one of your crazier ones.
Not without some wisdom though. Fair enough, Gingrich is dead weight. No steady job for 9 years (12 when 2012 comes around) and a bit of an unpleasant human being, he's not much to worry about. But c'mon, do you really think Romney or Pawlenty or, really ANY 2012 candidate isn't going to throw this chestnut at Sarah Palin in debates over and over again.
And then- and this is golden- you quote a straw poll from Kansas to support your view that Sarah Palin is still leading this race. First off, Kansas? Hardly an essential state in the primary process. But secondly, and more importantly, isn't that kind of like looking forward to how Michael Jackson is going to rock the house in his comeback tour next year?
The game has changed, my friend. Palin has shown to independents and to many within the Republican Party itself that she is in no state of mind to hold the office of the President of the United States. She's either unstable, lazy, or just plain uninterested. You'd best accept it and hope that Mike Huckabee gets his act together this time.
