Thanks, and you know, I always like your letters, too.
I must also thank people like red_gti2000. They make it so easy.
It doesn't take a rocket science to see how stupid, radical and filty the left is represented by those who read and support Salon.com. I think all the world should read salon articles and perhaps the left would fade after people had a chance to really see how radical the left of today has become. Hypocritical does not sufficiently describe them. The left must really fear Sarah Palin to spend so much time and effort to destroy her.
m'dear, what exactly are you getting revenge for?
Because liberals said that invading Iraq was a bad idea, and we were right?
Because liberals said that GW would lead us to hell in a hand basket, and we were right?
Because we said that the anti-regulation crowd (for everything from banking to pharma) would cause serious problems, and we were right?
Because we said that Sarah Palin was inexperienced and uniformed, and she proved us right?
Is it merely because there was an ugly political campaign and the side you were hoping to win, lost? (Which ignores that there was ugliness on all sides.)
You sound like my 5 year old, who goes all nihilistic when she doesn't get exactly what she wants. She claims never to want something EVER again if she can't have it right this moment. She'd also rather I take a toy away all together than share it with her brother if she wanted it.
In short, grow up.
Your entire world must appear to be a movie from the thirties: everything in black and white.
You understand that your heroine, Ms. Palin, even with her state's oil advantages, oversaw a state that sucked at the federal teat, that took more than it gave. So much for self-reliance.
I saw Joan Walsh interview with Bill Oreilly. She looked as stupid, arrogant and dumb as what I had her pictured. Like all those from the radical left, she can't defend herself when challenged by the right. Hypocritical can't come close to desribing her hate of anyone who disagrees with her. That applies to all those with salon.
Really? You like posters like me because I "make it so easy"? You have confused internet forums for real life. Your "achievements" on internet forums are of no consequence. On the other hand, developments in real life are what "make it so easy" for me. The economic news of the past week bear witness to my point. The Liberals' current stranglehold on this society is ephemeral. It will pass. Our goal is simply to hasten that passing. With extreme prejudice.
One that quit and another who essentially is walking off the job. What's up with Sarah Palin? Is her unexpected decision evidence of mental instability? Probably not. Instead it enables her to collect lucrative lecture and public appearance fees (which she can't do as a public servant). The road from public service to self-enrichment is well trod and she's decided to cash in. Though she may think she has a future in national publics her opponents, and that would be Republicans duking it out for nomination, will make mince meat of her. "You quit, how can the American people rely on you..."
She presented herself as a regular old hockey Mom, whom we discovered has a taste for designer duds far beyond with Joe the Plumber's wife could afford. In many countries where wealthy people are assumed to be crooksters this would be held against her. As soon as she gets into office, the thinking goes, she will plunder the public trough for personal gain. By contrast, Mitt Romney's immense wealth would be an assurance he didn't need to do that.
Yet he could never sell himself on those grounds because wealth is taken as evidence of the American Dream, namely It's there if you work for it." And those who are less able need to rely on the wealthy to create jobs for them. This is an unchallenged article of faith among many Republicans,. Hence the GWB tax cuts were skewed through the wealthy.
Yet we're entering an era where people become wealthy by becoming famous and creating interest in themselves. Jon and Kate. Sarah Palin. This is going to be fun to watch.....
Very much. Let's see if we can't keep the momentum going. Michele Bachmann? Anything you'd like to announce?
Your objections say otherwise.

I wonder how kindly Americans will take to a Japanese-style "lost decade".
The dish will be freezing.
I could more easily understand Einstein's theory than how her supporters think. Here are some samples of what the other (less than)half has to say about her:
"Palin is smart as a fox. She is the new shining star on the hill. She has more smarts and common sense then all the people in Washington. You go girl."
"Palin makes Obama look like a absolute clown right about now."
This one is particularly scary-
"I would love to see a Palin/Bachman GOP ticket for 2012."
Read them for yourself:

The small town beauty queen discovered the big world and wants to go on and enjoy it. The heck with commitment and duty, I want my cake and eat it too and no one better criticize me! If worse comes to worse, she can always say God told her!
...or is it?
Part of me senses she didn't want to risk a re-election campaign in 2010. Anything less than a blowout would have reflected poorly on her, and a lot would have been her political demise.
We're going to see a lot more of her in the "lower 48," whether we like it or not. By mid-2011, she may gauge whether running for the presidency in 2012 is worth it; if not, she could parlay her celebrity status into a radio or TV talk show, Rush Limbaugh for a new generation.
And isn't it interesting how the one-time "hockey mom" now describes herself as a "point guard"? Jeez, if I want a point guard in the White House, I'll wait until former Maryland star Kristi Toliver turns 35 and is eligible to serve.
CNN's Rick Sanchez wondered aloud if Palin could be pregnant again – shocking Candy Crowley
Yeah, Rick, must be those imbalanced hormones affecting Ms. Palin. In the acronym Keith Olbermann now uses on his show, "WTF?" Perhaps Mr. Sanchez next expects Sarah to grow to 50 feet tall and start stomping through the streets of Washington.
