Thanks for sharing, Governor. Now please take a cue from Norm Coleman, and go away

@Morticia

I must lodge an objection to your crude jibes against the great state of South Carolina. I can see no reason why a confederate republic would not serve admirably well as an insane asylum. Furthermore, unless you happen to be in posession of inside information it seems rude to suggest that the unfortunate Mr and Mrs Stafford's marital difficulties are in anyway related to....well, you know, ummm I mean, the size question for crying out loud.

I think its high time men should settle down and start acting right. Seriously though Morticia, are you married? I picture you in a black corsette with fishnets and a lot of mascara, you sound kind of hot. I don't know what you are doing sunday but would you want to go to church?

wandering men

joan et al.i lived through this kind of adultery several decades ago, took my babies and left

because my then husband had met his "soulmate", found myself broke and without health insurance ,and started the long road to a new life. i moved forward, remarried, built a business,

took no resentment with me, contributed to the community, was a good enough mother and guess what happened. They got rich and everyone says everything is "my fault" and i never even went on Oprah.

Lets go to the heart of it-mysogynist divorce laws and attitudes towards women, disrespect a devaluing of women and children, and there is no right thing to do .

it isnt about Sanford,Edwards,Clinton, Craig ,or whatever.

You tell me why doing everything you columnists recommended wasnt enough. i would like to know.(By the way when the celebrity died the story of the "torrid affair " was in the NY Times. )

Yes really .Decades later.

@Joan: "Republicans used to insist their jihad against President Clinton over his dalliance with Monica Lewinsky was about his lies, not about the sex, but that was never true."

Sorry, Joan, but it WAS true. Bill Clinton lied under oath and was disbarred as a result. And he'd be lying to this very day if only he hadn't left his little "gift" on Monica's blue dress. Oh, and did I mention that after his little trysts, he always tried to assassinate the characters of the women he piddled? Want to talk about misogynists, Joan? Look no further. At least Sanford thought he was in love. At least he's not looking into camera, sipping a diet Coke and lying about it. Now THAT'S hypocrisy.
