There was some discussion in that thread as to exactly what role women are playing in the 'green revolution', and if we could call it feminism, or if it was just standard lib'ral delusion (like that word, its making the rounds) and taking credit for things that don't exist.
It's hard to judge the veracity of anything coming out of Iran, but this article would suggest some sort of organic home grown women's movement. Tasty, I would think, and y'all should check it. Never would have thought twitter would be useful for something.
