I think it should be at least pointed out that Olbermann -- in a Rolling Stone interview, I believe -- said that Fox News had done more damage to the U.S. than Al Qaeda has. It's not quite what Rush said, but it's still pretty close.

Joan... thank you for your -- as usual -- thoughtful insights. Reading (I cannot bear to listen) to the screeds of Limbaugh I think of the flier distributed in Dallas on the eve of JFK's visit in Nov of '63. It accused the president of treason for:

*Betraying the Constitution

*Turning the U.S. over to the Communist controlled U.N.

*His support of the Communist inspired race riots

*Appointing anti-Christians to federal offices and supporting the anti-Christian rulings of the Supreme Court ... among other charges.

We all know where this poison led us in '63, and I do truly fear for the future of our president and this land we love. At no time since its founding in 1854 has the Republican party been more morally bankrupt than at the present time. Will no party leader stand up to this madness? I fear not, and again, at the risk of sounding somewhat hysterical, I fear for my country.

Sadly, this level of hate and fear, being driven by the likes of Limbaugh and Hannity, can only go on for so long before it starts to boil over into action.

It's been well-documented on Salon and elsewhere exactly how sex-obsessed Rush Limbaugh is, with special emphasis placed on what certainly SEEMS to be male homosexuality.

So, in "honor" of Rush, you shouldn't have said it this way: "Rush Limbaugh and his fanboy Sean Hannity..."

I think this would have been much more appropriate: "Rush Limbaugh and his BUTTBOY Sean Hannity..."
