Letters to the Editor

Bush blames "unfair treatment" while Gonzales tries to take the high road. But invoking his late father was a new low for the scandal-dogged, self-pitying attorney general.
  • Attorney enabler

Gonzales was no more an Attorney General than Brownie was an emergency management professional. His chief contribution was as an enabler to our dry drunk POTUS, operating in whatever capacity best served Bush's psychologically warped personal/political agendas. His farewell scene is just more - as if it were needed - evidence of how pathetic those who prop up Bush's fragile ego really are. Forget the "alcoholic father" and "first Hispanic whatever" trappings; this Fredo is just a set-up guy, important only as a sycophant and gopher for the world's smallest person.
