Yellow Dog - About families with girls vs. boys
I remember reading an article around election time, maybe even here, that cited a study that found families with boys are generally more conservative than families with girls. Basically, the families with boys have more of an interest in maintaining the status quo than families with girls, so I think your observation about the progressiveness of families with all girls may not be too far off.
