First, I don't condone Don Imus or his ill-advised on-air statements about the Rutger's women's basketball team...frankly I have never really liked his style. His on-air style is a mono-tone drone.

Ms. Joan Walsh's article and her "knowledgable" assertions expressed on MSNBC supporting the firing of Don Imus are a bit problematic since in asserting her PC position she comes off as white-male-hater.

Her PC position expressed on MSNBC was predictably hypocritical: anything a black person says negatively about whites (or blacks) is just fine with her, but if a white-male says anything that can be interpreted negatively by a black person, then throw him under the bus.

I'm sure she was also quick to jump on the band wagon to condemn the white-male Duke Lacross players accused of raping a black woman. Where is Joan's outrage over the hurt and pain the falsely accused Duke Lacross players felt? Where is her article attacking Al Sharpton for his hateful, hurtful, racist statements about the falsely accused white-male Duke Lacross players now that they have been cleared?? Hypocrits are easy to spot if you look at the things that outrage them and more importantly the things that DON'T.

Joan's anti-white male position is predictable given her obvious rage towards aging white men (based on observing her MSNBC appearance body language)...fortunately the broader public is not often exposed to Joan's on-air drone.

I'm not a fan of IMUS but he deserves more respect than does Joan. I can only hope that at some point in her career (which I'm sure is spotlessly "PC") karma returns the favor to Joan.

I had the pleasure of hearing you on TV tonight and I coud not disagree more with your reasoning. The only reason Imus was removed from the air was that Steve Capus and MSNBC were going to be sued and that means loss of money and revenue. Jesse Jackson has strong armed every corporation in America and this whole incident was and is about money for him....not Nappy headed Ho's. You are part of what brings down our culture with your acceptance of all the areas of the liberal agenda defending freedom of speech for a chosen few...like rappers. Are black women Ho's or not Ho's. Are girls gone wild Ho's or not Ho's. The female and femist movement has trashed the female race and all those allowing the culture to determine how you are perceived as a gender. Your gender has lost respect and the liberals have allowed it to occur. You can not have both worlds without a collision and Imus was caught in the middle of your world. It is important to remember: "rights" are not engraved in stone, otherwise - as Thomas Jefferson indicated - we wouldn't need to be "eternally vigilant" in maintaining the ones we have.

Furthermore, it is also important to remember: "rights", like freedom of expression, are only implied and only relevant to the current social mores. Walk down the street nude (arguably a form of free expression), then come back and tell all of us how much freedom of expression you actually have. [personally, I think every public place should be clothing optional]

Some of the things that come out of Don Imus's mouth are odious and vulgar and much worse than public nudity. It's way overdue he went away.

Or how Tim Russert the first time Barak Obama was on his little show MTP, made Obama answer for Harry Belafonte's latest ridiculous comment, as if one black man has to answer for another, that's true Racism, as I wrote Russert of immediately afterward..Russert is the real racist, no doubt about it..!

Also Don Imus had been repeatedly stating how Russert lied before and at the Libby trial, and knew he had, so how much of this was Russert shutting this critic of him and Bush and Cheney down, with this slap down of Don Imus..?

So it's ok cool with Joan to allow this obscenity of the Rap, Hip Hop "culture" to still abuse and denigrate women and glorify gun play and gangsterism and pimping, and the founder of BET will still show it after school to our kids, and Viacom will put it on MTV and the radio will play it over and over 10,000 times, but hey man what counts is we got Don Imus and got the white guy, and now all these white guys will run scared and be our bitches..and learn to STFU..!
