The buck stops where?

Our delusional president laments the "intelligence failure" that identified nonexistent WMD in Iraq and admits he was "unprepared" for war.

The letters thread is now closed.

Cheney's gang forced CIA to suppress clear evidence Iraq had no WMD

Bravo, Joan! The arrogant ignoramus in the White House seems to want to pretend the CIA did not have clear evidence Iraq posed no threat to the US and had no WMD.

G W Bush was a stooge or dupe in the hands of Dick Cheney, who wanted war and told whatever lies were necessary to get it. Cheney's game was an imperial presidency and the subverting of the Republic.

The US has squandered trillions of dollars on unnecessary wars and useless or nearly useless weapons and other "defense" systems.

Bush: Dishonest or simply clueless?

The extraordinary divergence between Bush's version of events, and those perceived by most people who read, who think, and are curious to know and understand the world, have an alternate explanation besides dishonesty on Bush's part.

It may simply be that President Bush really sees things that way, and what we are actually hearing are the manipulations and distortions of reality that have been whispered in Bush's ear by Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld, as well as others in his administration.

Pomeroo, you're asking the wrong question...

The decision should not be "Go to war unless some definite intelligence proves there is not threat."

Rather, it should be "Go to war as a last resort if we have actionable intelligence indicating a threat."

So, to ask the correct question, go ahead, name one intelligence service that provided clear and unambiguous proof that a WMD thread actually existed in Iraq.

Lyin' around anywhere

On the ground!

Were there you witless

Stupid worms?

Are you so thick and dense as shit

That you are incapable and disabled

Unable to learn?

Thursday, December 4, 2008 07:55 PM

Probably not, and definitely not, in that order.

Thursday, December 4, 2008 08:00 PM

Then close the case

On your national disgrace.

Thursday, December 4, 2008 08:02 PM

Shocked! Shocked I tell you!!

I in no way wish to defend the boy president, but, he was always the choice of the Neocons. Anyone who was surprised when when Rummy, Cheney and the rest of the foreign policy troglodytes came with the package wasn't paying attention. Likewise, why is everyone surprised by the magnitude of the damage done by a president and his colleagues who came to office only by Supreme Court violation of clear Constitutional procedure? Why, only now, are the news media taking these people to task for their Constitutional violations, execrable foreign and domestic policies and outright lies?

Phony Joanie, like most librals. specializes in big lies. Why is this deceit so necessary if you are really so correct?

Didn't Saddam destroy entire Kurdish villages with poison gas?

Didn't we find mass graves of Shia he had murdered?

Does anyone remember "The Marsh People" who he also destroyed?

How about the rape rooms for the daughters of his enemies?

Hello?

In the wake of the Holocaust, we have all these nice Jewish boys and girls from stalin.com acting as if, in the wake of 9/11, we could have tolerated Saddam Hussein.

It's 'USEFUL IDIOTS' time all over again.

Does anybody need me to further 'splain why phoney Joanie, Glen Greenbert and alla da rest of these numbskulls, need to go to the reeducation camp for klueless librals?

Another big lie you hear today's librals spreading as if it's da truth:

"We bailed out Wall Street, so now we should bail out the American automakers."

Nothing could be further from the truth. Bear Stearns and Lehman were not bailed out. All of Wall Street is in a shambles. Stocks in everything from Goldman Sachs to Merrill are in the toilet, and all these Wall Street guys' fortunes are a sad memory. Hundreds of thousands of Wall Street jobs have vanished.

Bail Out my ass.

Thursday, December 4, 2008 08:25 PM

dear klytus

for you to answer as you do

in short poems filled with poo

I find them pointless and a waste of space

so I will now mock them at every turn

and I will do it until you learn

that it's irritating and completely rude

to communicate as you do

Thursday, December 4, 2008 08:30 PM

@Mark Denney

I shall proceed on to communicate

As I do

And if you don't like it

Well..

FUCK YOU!

Thursday, December 4, 2008 08:32 PM

Sounds like some potential Rovian retirement tactics and damage control

No one needs inspectors or time to know where all the intelligence failures were.

The real WMD's are: Woes of Muddled Dodo-Headedness (and that's the nicest way of putting it). "Worst Mistakes Damage" - so many possible variations - that I shouldn't venture into.

But he had to find some way to live with himself, and he has.

Now, he's spreading it around like buttah.

Thursday, December 4, 2008 08:33 PM

dear klytus

I thought you might use that tone

it figures given your other tomes

but I must confess, you disappoint

for all the rhyming and crappy words

you type and type to hurl your turds

I think it's not just me who cares

what crap you fling from under there

Thursday, December 4, 2008 08:39 PM

Marky Mark Denney

I'm sure you've got plenty

But Klytus only accepts genuine legal tender

Never no counterfit, full 'o shit, jive ass brass pennies..

Hey, Zoltan

Care to guess who GAVE Saddam all those weapons? You want to talk useful idiots, how about how Saddam was OUR useful idiot during the 1980's. At best Bush I & II were cleaning up the messes their own party had made. Funny how Reagan overlooked all that gassing back in 1988. Oh, that wasn't the one you were refering to? Too bad. I guess if it happened on Saint Reagan's watch it doesn't count huh?

Thursday, December 4, 2008 08:42 PM

Zoltan Newberry

"Phony Joanie, like most librals. specializes in big lies. Why is this deceit so necessary if you are really so correct?

Didn't Saddam destroy entire Kurdish villages with poison gas?

Didn't we find mass graves of Shia he had murdered?"

Was this not in 1988 when Bush 41 was the president and we were arming Saddam against Iran? The question is not whether Saddam is a bad man. Lord only knows how many dictators still around who can compare to Saddam and we do not go around blowing them and a good part of their country away.

The whole issue revolves around a president who claims that his one biggest regret is not finding wmd in Iraq? Now, instead of calling Joan or anybody who criticises Bush phony, take your nose out of Bush's *ss and ask yourself this question; "What is more phony and pathetic than a president who mockingly looks under a table ostensibly looking for wmd during the press club dinner while innocent brave soldiers were dying when he knew there were no wmd and turns around and claims it is his biggest regret?"

If President Bush were sincere, he would never have made a joke on something he regards as his greatest regret. Go and tell this nonsense to the horse marines. Now, it is increasingly becoming painful to respond to your pathetic posts.
