Did we expect anything less from Fox?
Fox at this point is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Republican National Committee. Or it is the other way around? I often forget...
Anyway, Fox is noted for the kind of objectivity that we used to see from Pravda and Tass during the cold war, so to call them "gutless" kind of misses the mark. The reality is that gutlessness is, in fact, their defining characteristic.
