Letters to the Editor

Sorry Joan - you're flat wrong
It's the Bay Area congresspeople you should be second-guessing, not challengers. The comfort zone of our representatives - here in the midst of the direct people's mandate and reawakening from the criminal Republican haze - is far too insular.
I'd like to hear what Sheehan or other legitimate contenders have to propose. You seem to have dismissed them out of hand. In fact, I tried writing to my congressperson, Anna Eshoo, recently and her web site mechanically dismissed my email, claiming I was not in her district. In fact I am, and voted for her. But this sort of thing demonstrates the disconnect between the people and our representatives.
WE ARE SICK of Bush. And to tell you the truth, the paralysis and fear of the Democrat congress reminds me of some kind of film noir, where all the good guys give it their best shot, only to fail pathetically or die in the end.
Why can't we have another candidate besides Pelosi? Who says staying this horrid course just for the sake of a democratic president is reasonable? Here's an experiment for you; I highly recommend it: Write to your congressperson with your highest concern. And then blog about what a crappy response you're due to get.
Why defend these people JUST because they're democrats? Let's gets some action people in office, with an ear towards the people they represent.
