Letters to the Editor

I oppose the capitulation on war funding, but let's be clear: This is Bush's war, and the only way it will end is by putting a war opponent in the White House.
  • Stop relying on Democrats to do anything

Ms. Walsh's apologies for the Democratic Party don't suprise me. Maybe she's got some stock in Halliburton or something. Hmmm, why hasn't the corporate media (stop calling it mainstream, folks!) done an expose on politicians owning stocks in war profiteering corporations or their subsidiaries? If it has been done, even by an alternative media outlet, please let me know.

I agree with the other posters that third party is the way to go. While Republicans aren't trying to fool anyone on who they truly represent (corporate interests) the Democrats are more two-faced and slimy about it. People's party??? Puh leez. Americans have been duped by this two-party system for far too long. Remember the 2000 election? Doesn't the Democratic complaint that Ralph Nader took votes away make you feel even slightly degraded?

Someone really should propose legislation instituting a draft. Then Americans will really feel the sting and get off their fat asses to do something about this war.

My point is this: next time you have to go to the polls think long and hard about your "choices".
