Team America

Barack Obama's national security team is impressive in its diversity and in its excellence. Plus: I debate Christopher Hitchens over Hillary Clinton.

I watched the debate with Hitchens

I have to agree with Hitchens's his savvy intuition about Hillary Clinton. Maybe Christopher is a bit arrogant in his presentation, but his views on the Clintons collectively are substantive based on their past behaviors. I would have voted for Hillary but for her guilt by association foul plays.. Here is a woman who worked in a profoundly left wing law firm in Oakland that defended Cleaver and the Black Panthers, and she decided to play Joe McCarthy to suck up some votes from the Right. Here is someone who indeed lied about being under sniper fire on one of her trips abroad, and had to debunk her own myth. Here is someone who played to Joe Six pack in the dying moments of her campaign when it was convenient for her. And how can we forget her defending her cheating husband against a "vast Right wing conspiracy." Do we not remember her

saying on a nationally broadcast TV interview that Obama

was not a Muslim "as far as she knew." I cannot stomach this woman or Bill? Bill's administration was pro-Nafta.. Deregulation was fostered by Clinton, via Robert Rubin, Larry Summers and company. Why Obama chose to bring Hillary, and Bill by extension, center stage into the White House is beyond belief. Mark my words, there is trouble ahead for Barack and I tend to believe that this team of rivals ethos will come back to haunt him. Hillary wants to be President and any ticket that gets her there is her focal priority.
