I'm grateful for Barack Obama

My sappy Thanksgiving post got more serious as I watched the Mumbai tragedy unfold.

hate to say it, but NY-NY has a valid point about obama not nessesarily being the " mesiah" many think he is.

I personally agreed with all the old guard feminist women and wanted hillary , as I thought she'd be the better choice for women in general; both biological women and transsexual women like myself. she had the more experience, and while I liked some things about obama back before the end of democrats' primary; such as his wanting to repeal the partial birth abortion act and what he mentioned about getting the govt. out of the marriage business/leaving it to the churches with " civil unions for all."

when it came to who got the most contributions , they both came out the same, with one exception. hillary got one from emily's list- a feminist organization dedicated to helping ALL WOMEN [ straight, lesbian, bi,transsexual]! but hillary did not get the nomination, obama did. mostly because, speak of the rich, all the white yuppie, 'wall street' males, other males; all fearing "castration if hillary gets in."

that and how the male run news media, along with a few anti-feminist, traditionally " high-femme" women; did their best to belittle hillary with sexist comments about her dress styles, etc. again, that may have been because those news-men feared that it would be the end of their dominated by powerful males world.

but hillary did not get in, and so, all the while I was reading stuff in feminist organization's websites about how John Mc Cain the fucking " maverick"; was really John Mc Liar! a conservative, fundamentalist whom voted 99% against women in general throughout his career. I had considered cynthia mc kinney for a while, but knowning that this country runs on a two party stystem for tyhe most part; I began to fully back obama.

John Mc Sneak the liar finally showed his true self at the republican convention when he chose to be his running mate, that anti-woman asshole for jesus named sarah palin! which in turn helped him get more women voters whom were anti-LGBT, pro-life; as well as many of the more angry to the point of stupidity hillary supporters!

he also had his women whom feared that obama's tax plan would tax the wealthy and help those strugging to survive and remain hopeful in a country where opportunity seemed to " shit in their faces" every time! those like me on SSDI/SSI for whom working a retail shit job for shit wages does not offer any hope of becoming gainfully-employed long term; never mind ever getting ahead in life!

again, I liked hillary's plan to fund high-speed internet even in the most rural areas. something that would have created much " ableism" for those like myself whom were never great at marching to the beat of somebody else's drum, or time-clock. this plan, of course being something that, suddenly, obama decided to say was his idea as well.

as for hillary saying she'd support ONLY " civil unions but not full LGBT marriage"? well I sensed that she was just saying this now and , once in office; with a little push from us lesbians; she would have changed her mind right quick-like!

so while I like obama and his positions on many things, I still feel that hillary rodham[ clinton] was by far; the much better choice for america and women in general. I'm just glad he chose her for secretary of state, but I think it should've been the entire other way around; as in, she picked him after winning!
