I'm grateful for Barack Obama

My sappy Thanksgiving post got more serious as I watched the Mumbai tragedy unfold.

    @Graz65 Boo-Hoo!

    Shit-ass? Fuck me? You know, I have to laugh that off because I know you wouldn't have the stones to say that to my face. Cyber thugs are so amusing. Why is it that you are so personally attached to me that you are this angry? Are you a personal friend or close relative of Obama? Or are you a stan too? Would be happy or laugh if I got blown up in the subway since I am such a "shit ass?" Get your panties out of a knot, kid.

    You sound like Republicans sound when someone criticizes Bush, Palin, or McCain, you know that? You curse, you make ad hominem attacks, you clutch your pearls when you hear anyone say anything that is not worshipful praise about "our president-elect." Shouldn't we liberals try to elevate the discourse, or do we want to be ignorant boors with a left bent?

    Why are you mad that I have money? Does that somehow impact your life? Do you think that I have something that should belong to you? Why is that any of your business? Is it because I do not think that Obama is the messiah who can walk on water and will bring everyone together, as you say. Look, the man only got about 6% more than McCain, so the odds that he will bring everyone together are pretty slim. Ours is an extremely polarized nation and no amount of vapid, platitude riddled speeches will change that. Now, I can understand people casting a vote for Obama-Biden not so much as a vote in favor of them, but as a rejection of McCain-Palin. I would laugh if Obama fell on his face. The man is an arrogant snake. In the end, beyond a few laughs, Obama's professional humiliatrion does not personally impact me whether he does or not. I can always turn off the news, ignore what is going on in the world, and do my own thing. I do not have to curse and throw a tantrum about him.

    I hope you have a happy and safe holiday, despite your personal attacks.
