I'm grateful for Barack Obama

My sappy Thanksgiving post got more serious as I watched the Mumbai tragedy unfold.

So much to worry about, even more to rejoice over

Like many Americans who heard about the attacks in Mumbai, I was completely freaked out when I heard about them this morning. I know that Americans have a long road ahead of us in regaining support around the world after eight years of failed Republican policies headed by George Bush.

The good news is that our country will soon be in the capable hands of President-Elect Barack Obama. He's proved many times over since his win that he not only deserves to be our next leader, but that he is the best man for the job.

I will pray for the victims of the attacks in Mumbai and for our own country. I know this could be a taste of things to come; I'm hopeful that it's the end of things that were.
