And it just tickles me to death that Sen. McCain has issued a statement urging Congress to approve Gov. Janet Napolitano's appointment to the Homeland Security post when it hasn't even been announced. I guess McCain is trying to follow Obama's lead on the gracious front.
It's hard to tell if you were being facetious, but I think McCain's glee over the idea of Napolitano heading DHS has more to do with removing the most dangerous potential challenger for his Senate seat when/if he runs for re-election in 2010, along with ensuring that AZ gets a Republican governor (Napolitano's replacement would be the GOP Secretary of State).
