A pit bull in lipstick?

A snarling Sarah Palin savages Barack Obama while her defenders deride sexism and "liberal media" bias.

The letters thread is now closed.

pegster you don't find it scary

that palin doesn't think women raped should have the right to choose?

Or that she is being prepped by Bush's foreign policy experts...as we speak.

Or that Hillary Clinton and Obama have nearly the same voting record, nearly the same party platform, and Clinton asked all of her supporters to do "everything they can" to elect Obama?

Not even after Clinton said, did you do this for me, or did you do this for all of these reasons?

Not even after Clinton said no way, nohow, no McCain?

Women who vote for McCain may enjoy doing so, but when he appoints justices like Scalia to the court (as he promises he will) I promise that you will not enjoy the resulting loss in your liberties as an American, and as a woman. (assuming that you are a woman...if not...sorry...)

@ChuckieP

You're delusional. The mainstream media took weeks to discuss the Edwards scandal, well after the blogosphere had forced the issue. They suppressed it for as long as they could. The LA Times even directed its bloggers not to mention it!

You're spending too much time in a left-wing echo chamber.

Here's some news that didn't make it past Salon's filters -- McCain has eliminated Obama's lead since Palin was named as his VP candidate:

Read it and weep, losers.

Lipstick, Bush..mcCain obama oh my

I have to agree with the rest of my Green party, independent, Libertarian Brothers and Sisters.

The Dems and the Reps are heading to HELL in a hand basket.

And the slick lipsticked dog from the sticks is just a lackey. I don't hate her, I pity her.

Hooya for Ron Paul.

ChuckieP

Yet, we hear not one word about Sarah Palin's extra-marital affair on any of the major media outlets.

Let's let her dig that 'family values' hole a little deeper first, shall we? In the event of a truly massive hypocrisy McCain will want to cover her over himself and Democrats won't have to get their hands dirty.

Times Have Changed

Back in the good old days, when the Puritans landed on Plymouth Rock, Sarah Palin would have had a large Scarlet Letter "A" branded on her forehead. Now, thanks to the brilliance and superb judgment of John McCain, Sarah Palin may soon be next in line for the American presidency -- indeed, as the "family values" candidate. "Oh -- The Times They Are A-Changin'."

Welcomerain: You Out Yo' Mind

Dear Welcomerain:

Your piece of "news" about McCain having eliminated Obama's lead since Palin was nominated hasn't made it past any of the pollsters' filters, either. McCain is putting his "Base First". Obama is the one who puts his "Country First".

Pit Bull With Lipstick?

The only reason she gets a reputation as being a hot librarian is because of the literal heat from all those burning books.

Knowledge is power, you either want to destroy it or share it.

And Joe Biden comes out drooling...

"I'm glad she came out swinging tonight and damaged the victim narrative. Joe Biden needn't worry about harming a self-proclaimed pit bull, and he's free now to have at it."

Yes, let's hear Joe Biden's ringing defense of the DMCA and the War on Drugs. I'm sure that will shame the American people out of their newfound Palinmania. I'm certain that Democrats and Republicans alike would much rather rally round an old fascist with hairplugs.

You Do Lie

Dear Welcomerain:

Allow me to quote what you said in your latest posting:

"Here's some news that didn't make it past Salon's filters -- McCain has eliminated Obama's lead since Palin was named as his VP candidate."

The fact is that the latest Gallup Poll, as of this moment, shows Obama still maintaining his lead of 50% to 42% over McCain. Therefore, one thing we have now learned about you, my dear Welcomerain -- You Do Lie.

Sexism in any form

I can think of many reasons to criticize Sarah Palin but attacking her for not staying at home with her children is the one argument that shouldn't be made. A woman's right to choose to work outside the home should be part of our culture, not part of the culture wars. I have never heard a discussion of a male candidate which suggested that instead of running for office, he should be at home being a better father to his children

@ChuckieP

U.P.I. is also reporting the 8 point lead wiped out. Further, there was something like a 10 point increase in the "strong" McCain vote.

Just saying.......like to see some more confirmation

Vicious Unscrupulous Political Whore

A handicapped infant and she ignores him. How unmotherly, uncaring, unloving. And she the brutal bigot, kills via slaughter wolves and bears. How about contraception for you and the animals.

A whore in the worst way. Sells herself for $ but pretends it's for saving the US. Get away from here you #$%^$^%$ liar. You are as intelligent as a BROOM.

LOL....

They should have shut down last night, after Palin's speech. Poor Lindsay Graham, I think they had to turn on the "applausometer" during his speech. Folks are just sitting there.....yawning.

Kind of like Pee Wee Herman following Elvis, or the Beatles.....lol

nananance

All true. But it still leaves us with that question: Who raised Palin's kids?

The evidence suggests Palin's kids pretty much raised themselves, what with dad working out of town most of the time and mom so busy with politics and such.

Palin is running on a 'family values' schtick that's looking to be just as phony as everything else the pubs pretend to stand for.

Open game on moose grandma

What about the latest news of her starting an inquiry of herself to try to derail the troopergate investigation? The media isn't talking about that nor the weird stuff about her pastor and church. She should be open game now after her snarling attack dog debut. Her whining voice makes me nauseated.
