A pit bull in lipstick?

A snarling Sarah Palin savages Barack Obama while her defenders deride sexism and "liberal media" bias.

Response to another sexist post

Selfish Shallow and Shrill

What a terrible show of naked ambition. She does not have a 'normal' family and ought to be taking care of Trig when he is an infant. He's got enough problems without an absentee superstar mom.

How selfish and shallow of her to persist in the quest for power at the expense of her family, which is her primary responsibility.

She sounds like Roseanne, but Roseanne was a better mom!

-- Matericia

So, it's a woman's place to take care of the baby at all times, and lord knows in the warped mind of people like you, a woman can't have a child and a job with actual accountability at the same time.

It's always expense of her family, which is her primary responsibility. never expense of his family, which is his primary responsibility.

It's not her primary responsibility anymore than it's automatically a man's. It's up to that couple to decide who is going to be the primary care given of young children. It's not your decision, it's not based on biology or gender, it's based on their choice, and a man is as good a choice to take care of young children as a women.

People like you just don't want women in positions of power, so you use children as an excuse, when we need women with children and of child bearing age in office, just as we need younger men with children in office as well. They bring a different perspective to things.

re: pit bulls, lipstick and the constitution

re: "... he's worried someone won't read 'em their rights."

By her statement, it seems that the constitution does not really mean anything to her. At least, the current boys in the WH do it behind closed doors in a cigar smoke filled room. Then again, am sure she is now their ultimate pawn to break the constitution. She sure would be quite "ticked" off when she finds that she is the pawn for the real pit bulls. Her ignorance is her bliss, for now.

Can I BE VICE PRESIDENT?

I am a skateboard mom, worked for government over 20 years, blew the whisle on fellow employees and my boss, go to church weekly, have excellent credit, have adopted all kinds of animals, give to those who are poorer, can give a great speech particulary when instructed to really attack the opposition. Ut-oh, big problem. I don't wear lipstick and I encourage birthcontrol and I remember my transgressions.. Yes. I do.

Zandru

It worries me how so many of you insist that Gov Palin needs to "stay at home" with her baby, or "stay at home" with her preggers seventeen-yr old, or "a sick child always comes first."

Sheer invention, neocon. Try plausible lies.

@1guru1- you had a choice

You could have selected the candidate that was most competent and able to take the GOP on. Now you seem perplexed and anxious that you might get stuck with another Republican president. Why is that? Isn't Obama what you wanted? Didn't you insist, demand, hold your breath for "Change!"? Weren't you willing to fight as dirty as the Republicans to get rid of the old Clinton baggage? So, why are you worried about the GOP? Surely, SURELY, Obama and Biden can handle them with one hand tied behind their backs (er, that would be the Clintonistas who they COULD. NOT. WAIT, to replace with young people and evangelical Christians).

There, there. You'll get another chance in 2012. Or 2016. Or 2020. Oh, Hell, just make the WH the GOP clubhouse for the next 100 years and focus on Congress.

Speech

Sarah Palin's speech last evening made me very depressed . Palin is as far right in the republican party as you can go, her speech other than her biography was so negative I have a feeling most of America who wants a change in direction realized the republicans are still the party of the past. Palin has lost my vote MCcain has lost alot of independent voters last night.

Moose Hunter in the White House!

Will the Pit Bull adorn the VP Mansion with moose heads, caribou pelts, polar bear rugs and seal skins?

The convention-goers at the DNC looked happy, wore crazy hats and lots of buttons and had a great time. In contrast, the RNC looks like they just got back from church!..and their cheers seemed forced..

The only thing missing last night was the Ku Klux Klan!

Lipstick, and expensive shoes

Palin wears nice shoes. Beyond that I can't for the life of me think of anything that qualifies her for anything more than school board member in Walrus-stan or wherever she's from.

Nice parenting skills too. "Sure kids go out and bang whoever you want, I'm busy, Jesus saves."

It Ain't Necessarily So....

Because she was chosen as much for her gender as for her credentials, the charge of "Sexism" can now being hurled at ANY and ALL of the MSM's 'vetting' of Gov. Palin. And distract the public and squelch the ‘news’ of Senator McCain's 'snap decision’ to make her his VP choice. An extra bonus of the ‘vetting’ or treatment from the BIG, Bad Liberal (now Left Wing) media is that their campaign can now use this supposed 'bias' as their ongoing excuse to hide their VP nominee, Palin, from any 'hardball' questioning or interviews until after the election.

The 'real' leaders of the Republican Party are more Machiavellian or duplicitous in their treatment of America and Americans than Niccolo di Bernardo dei Machiavelli himself by irresponsibly foisting on the country an unknown for the office of the Vice President with little to no vetting.

Another Rovian Playbook tactic, turn your candidate's weakness on Domestic and Foreign policy, into a plus by 'demonizing' the big, bad Media, so Sarah won't have to "Face the Nation" because she is just "People", cannot say she is one of "US" (Weekly) though, because they were ‘biased’ in their coverage of her, too.

We'll soon see how much the National Enquirer has Gov. Palin ‘cold’ on though......since it would mean she lied (again), this time on the 70 question vetting document. It may be the 'worst' case of "Northern Exposure" yet. Too bad it was the McCain campaign’s own ‘response’ to the Enquirer’s story that actually made more people aware of it.

Cannot wait to see how the McCain campaign contorts their narrative on their ‘pushback’ mistake to make it ALL about the BIG, bad media and not about either Gov. Palin or themselves.
