I posted this on your video, but am going to repost here, because I have been a vocal and vehement critic, but I also believe in giving thanks where thanks are due. I also posted just a few days ago that it was time for Joan to take a clear stand and show once and for all, whether she was going to stand behind the Democratic party and Obama this fall, or not. And she has taken her stand, and I'm grateful.

Saturday, 1:30 p.m. Eastern -- I just watched Hillary's concession speech at the Building Museum.
I found it a decent, classy, politically savvy speech, and I don't think Barack Obama could ask for any more.
And as a woman, and mother of a daughter, I truly appreciated her comments about women -- and in particular, the discussion of how her candidacy has made a woman's bid for the presidency unremarkable in the future. This is an amazing contribution to history, and to women's progress, and she should be remembered forever for this contribution.
Her use of Obama's "Yes, We Can" was, to me, the symbolic high point of her speech, and the sign that she truly does have the best interests of the country and the Democratic party in mind.
It was a historic moment, capping a historic race, and I look forward to Hillary focusing her intelligence, power and tenacity toward helping ensure a Democratic presidency in November.
I also hope that Hillary's supporters are encouraged and inspired by her speech. As Hillary said, there is too much at stake now for us to suffer through another Republican administration.
I am also encouraged to see Joan support Obama here in her video, and also the other day on Joe Scarborough's MSNBC show. Thank you, Joan. Carol Richards predicted that you'd come around -- and as you know (I'm not exactly a fading flower) I had serious doubts -- but Carol was right.
So Joan, I also look forward to you focusing your intelligence, power and tenacity -- and the tremendous power of your Salon pulpit and MSNBC appearances -- toward helping ensure that Obama wins the presidency in November.
Walsh is not gonna go down the McCainocrat route, but join with Hillary and go down the Democrat route!
Hillary Clinton wins over Harriet Christian!
Awesome, yay!
This was a marvelous speech, and just what was needed to begin uniting the Democratic party.
McCain, you're on notice! Be very afraid.
Are we really ready to lick are wounds and to do something like taking the high road and thinking that the needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few.
Come join the Obama bandwagon Clintionites! We love and need your votes, dreams, and inspiration to clean up Bush's mess at home and abroad.
-Yes We Can-
Defeat sucks, but sometimes it moves us forward in ways victory or stasis never do. Hilary's speech was perfect in political terms, but also seemed to show her moving to a new place in her life. She really seems to enjoy and get a charge of being the representative of her supporters that being First Lady and junior Senator from New York never did. She will be a formidable presence in the coming months and years, whatever she does.
If properly utilized by Obama and the Democratic Party - and who knows exactly what that means - that will be very bad news for Senator McCain and the Republican Party.
Sigh. Very nice. Too bad the GOP will be running Hillary's video over and over again where she says she and McCain have experience to be commander-in-chief, but Obama has "a speech."
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she came to her senses today. I just hope it's not in vain.
That was a lovely speech, and a graceful end to a fantastic run. As messy as this primary has been, it's been pretty revolutionary. The dems have been a bit lackluster as a party in recent years, how great is it that we were given two candidates that could both be the fire this party needs? For the first time in years I felt like I wasn't selecting between the lesser of two evils but between the best of the cream of the crop.
Good race, Senator Clinton.
Both my wife and I have been Obama supporters from the beginning. Her speech was great. My only criticism, and it is minor, is that she could have been a little more specific about why McCain's judicial choices, health care policy and his position on Iraq will hardly advance the objectives of her campaign.
Sorry Joan, but not this Clinton supporter. I may still write Clinton in November and only vote for those down-ticket Dems who did not behave in an ugly manner towards her.
Sorry Joan, but this is not about Clinton as a personality and a political powerhouse but about her treatment by the sexist media and by Obama surrogates and, by plan, that little memo from the Obama campaign that people like to so conveniently overlook.
Sorry Joan, but this is bigger than the campaign of Hillary Clinton and the general election. Women's voices need to be heard and, if the only way that they can be heard is in the form of a resounding silence or even a vote of McCain, then so be it.
I won't be voting for McCain, but I do understand the feelings of every female Clinton supporter who will.
Sorry Joan, but not this time. Women should not be soothed by the cries for party unity. Right now women have the power of their anger as they have never had in my lifetime. It is the best and truest female emotion to be experienced (collectively) in years. In anger, there is tremendous power. Women absolutely should not squander this anger.
Barack Obama, what are you going to do for WOMEN and the economic and political power of women here in these United States?
You want my vote? You'd better win it!
"Come join the Obama bandwagon Clintionites! We love and need your votes"...
No thank you.
...wow -- now isn't that special? And as Obama reportedly went golfing during Clinton's speech, all the Salon Obama cult members are now loving "Clintionites" votes...imagine that. I guess a little arrogance and hypocrisy don't die easy do they?
