Hillary
I just saw MSNBC and Lisa Caputo of the Hillary campaign said that the candidates never agreed not to seat the Florida and Michigan delegates. They signed a covenant not to campaign there. That's it! So enough with that BS that Hillary is breaking the rules. She's not!
And Dan is calling Hillary crazy for saying that there is sexism in the media covergae of her. I wouldn't expect anything less from sexist MSNBC.

Thanks Joan
I don't know Joan if it is too late for you to see my note, but I wanted to thank you for your postings. When I sign on Salon.com I look to see if you have a new posting. I appreciate your perspective and the insights you have shared with your readers during this long race.
I have been following this campaign avidly since January and I think I am about ready to call it quits. Frankly, I am exhausted and dispirted. Reading the responses to your postings is so discouraging. I don't know if it is because it is an anonymous exercise to post comments, but far too many are hateful and not worthy enough to even read.
Regardless of which candidate you support they certainly deserve our respect for putting themselves out there to be judged and perhaps rejected.
In 1974 when Richard Nixon resigned from the Presidency one could not help but feel sympathy for the man. We were watching a man having to walk away from his life work a quest he had devoted every fibre of his body to realize. I was definitely not a Nixon supporter, but at that time I felt so badly for the man. I remember the saddness of watching Jerry Ford giving his concession speech in 1976. Nor was I Jerry Ford supporter. But the human spectacle of having to face defeat is not for the faint hearted. So as this campaign nears completion can we not display compassion and understanding of how hard these candidates have worked and how difficult it is not to win the race.

And you believe everything they say? What she din''t say is more important.
What the DNC rules say and the candidatea agreed to was:
If any state pushed up their up primaries witutDNC approvla would only be allowed to seat 50% of their delegates, and the delegates would NOT count toward the nomination.
I'm really sick of those Hillary advisers I guess if they repeat the same LIEs, over, and over again, some people will just start to believe them. Informed voters will not.
Hillary had a miserable little event in FL today. Obam had a vibrant 15,000 rally in Tmapa Fl.

Zimbabwe, 2000 Florida, Hillary's ludicrous stand
She wants to change the rules;
she does not play well with others;
she argues that the situation in the democratic primary is analogous to Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe?
This claim is akin to her sniper fire in Bosnia remembrance.
She has a dostorted sense of self, and of reality. It is a bit frightening, actually.
Super-delegates, save us now, please!!!
She is out of her tree...
I do believe the party might really believe they need to provide her with a consolation prize of, say, the Supreme Court, which will make our party just as officially nutty as the Republicans who nominated Clarence Thomas.
Ironically, those same "feminists" who raised serious and well-informed objections ober the nomination of Clarence, have now lost their minds over Hillary.
Can we go home now?

For anyone who thinks that Hillary is going to bow out gracefully after June 3
fasten your seatbelts. She is going all the way to the convention.
She stated this in FL today. She will go to the convention.
Her legion of supporters, all women, spread throughout the airwaves (including Joan Walsh)levelling charges against Obama for calling her Annie Oakley as proof that he has run a sexist campaign. Never mind that her comments on Obama not electable (read because of race), hardworking white folk, etc.
Obama, if he was a white guy, would not have come this far, are their assertions, which is of course what?
They continued to blame the media for misogyny and railed against their bringing her down. Such is their wrath that they will not vote for Obama. Imagine, a lifelong Dem such as Ferraro enabling a 3rd Bush term.
All bets are off folks. She ain't a graceful loser, just as Joan states that Obama supporters are sore winners. There was a lull there for a while as Hillary tamped down her attacks on Obama, but rancor is on the rise again.
All this obfuscates the fact that Hillary voted for the war, against the ban on cluster bombs, fowarding legislation to ban flag burning, lying about her experience and her FP credentials, and her complete and total dependence on lobbyists, not to mention the windfall profits that the Clintons have made in the last 6 years.
There are far more women who voted for Obama than Hillary. These are a minority women who are hell bent on handing this to McCain so Hillary can run in 2012.

@karen22
what I noticed is that Dan never allowed the black woman, a social commentator who is quite well spoken, to finish one sentence...
He stepped over every statement she made, as did Lisa Caputo. Watch it.
I have no reason to make this up, and it is available on replay...
Just pointing out what I observed, with my mouth agape...

You are absolutely right. Caputo and Abram both shut out the black commentator with looks of disdain and derision. It was disgusting.

Primaries
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/02/12/naacp-chairman-urges-democrats-to-seat-michigan-florida-delegates/
In a Feb. 8 letter to DNC Chairman Howard Dean, NAACP chairman Julian Bond expressed “great concern at the prospect that million of voters in Michigan and Florida could ultimately have their votes completely discounted.” Refusing to seat the states’ delegations could remind voters of the “sordid history of racially discriminatory primaries,” he said...
Either state can also appeal the penalty to the DNC credentials committee, which will not meet again until this summer.

Re : "what I noticed is that Dan never allowed the black woman, a social commentator who is quite well spoken, to finish one sentence..."
Are you kidding? I heard her talk. Did you watch it live or are you talking about a clip on You Tube which might be edited? (By the way, was she on China Beach?)
I heard her say that Hillary was breaking the rules, and Caputo corrected her. But I will watch it again.
