President McCain. Get used to it.
I don't consider myself a Democrat. When I lived in Texas I was able to register as a Green. (I would be able to do so in Oklahoma now if Nader the Traitor had lived up to his promises in 2000).
But given the choice between Democrat and Republican there is no question. The Democrats will cause much less damage to country and to the planet than the Republicans. I will definitely be voting Democratic in November.
It is disingenuous give the Clintons so much credit for what happened in the 90s. The computer and DVD revolutions had a much greater impact on the economy and the deficit than the person sitting in the White House. And with a strong economy, gains for women and minorities are much easier. The bursting of the dot com bubble hastened an inevitable economic downturn. What was not inevitable was Bush throwing gasoline on the fire by cutting taxes while increasing spending and sending jobs overseas.
So don't be giving Hillary Clinton credit for things she had no influence over.
And Obama gets no credit for anything, for he has done nothing.
For a while I was thrilled with the idea that we might have a black president or a female president. Either one would have gone a long way towards eliminating a big chunk of the backwardness of our country. But now, with Obama supporters and Clinton supporters doing their best to destroy their chances, I can't foresee any result other than President McCain and the final ending of the American Republic.
It is sad the the only thing Clinton supporters and Obama supporters can cooperate on is the destruction of their own party.
