HILLARY/DONNA
joan, seriously, how can you hope for an honest conversation when you equate donna with hillary/obama's bitter comment with hillary's white americans comment when these are so not comparable!! donna was responding to a censorious, patronizing comment by a hillary partisan who kept calling the democratic party "our" party. how is donna pointing out that the democratic party is differently constituted comparable with the CANDIDATE's most recent race-baiting - finally so egregious that even YOU feel forced to christen it "lamentable." how can we have an honest conversation, when you start so asymmetrically? wish you would stop with the liberal hand-wringing and learn to make the sort of ethical distinctions that are the premise of an "honest" conversation about race. yes it is painful and no, i am afraid, you have not put yourself through those paces.

W(hite) E(go) S(upreme
yeah, wes, the election's gonna turn on West Virginia and Puerto Rico. Dumbass. billary's down 14 in Oregon, the biggest remaining state (twice the delegates of WV). How delusionaly can you fruitcakes get? Can you read? Can you add? Can you subtract? Look what's happening with super delegates the last two days. Her lead is gone. He's ahead there now too. Every freakin' measure there is- popular vote, pledged delegates, contests won, super delegates, total delegates, height and weight (well, maybe not weight) he's ahead. It's done, son. Seek therapy.

My sentiments exactly.
want to vote for a Democrat. I really do. But they have to give me a choice that is reasonable, not a charismatic figurehead whe doesn't even bother to read what his aides write down as his opinions and doesn't study for debates and doesn't have any experience. I will not vote for a Democratic version of George W. Bush.
Actually much as it gags me to say it, George W. Bush was a little more qualified. But we saw how well a President learning on the job worked out with him just the same.
I said I wouldn't vote for Obama and I won't. He's simply not qualified and his supporters are just revolting as was his race-baiting,Hillary-trashing campaign which offered nothing at all in the way of any real substance. Democrat or not I won't vote for that.
So my choice is the Slimey Chicago Schister or the old coot with a bad temper.
Think I'll sit this one out.

Can Democrats become expansionist rather than reductionist?
Still beating the old drums of the '70s. I don't think this reductionist micro identity polling crap is going to get us any farther than it has. Why don't we work on what brings us together , rather than on what separates us? This Fester is a White Male, and he's never going to be Female, he's never going to African American, he's never going to experience exactly what they experience. They are never going to experience what he experiences either. That's just how it is.
But that doesn't mean we don't share a lot in common, and that we don't have a lot of common interests and shared experience as Americans. That doesn't mean we can't and shouldn't try to walk a bit in each other's shoes.
Why don't we focus on equality, equality of opportunity, equality of education, and equal respect despite our social condition and whether or not we drink Chablis, Chardonnay, Lattes, or Boilermakers?
Shouldn't we be focusing on how to give everybody a bigger piece of a growing pie, rather than fighting over a smaller piece of a shrinking pie?
Rather than focus on our different needs, our special needs, why don't we remind ourselves of what's in it for all of us, what we all have at stake. This country is at a cross roads. We're just shy of t he Rubicon. Isn't there enough on the table for us all to band together, at least a little bit, for a little while, grudging or not?
So I think this article is leading us back to where we've already been. We've already seen the world from this vantage, and a lot of us want to move on to a new and more perfect place. But we have to let go of the old one first.
P.S.

Americans don't WANT to "talk about race"
The obsession blacks have with it is decidedly one-sided.
Americans want to talk about national security, the jobless economy, four dollar a gallon gas, affordable retirement for their parents, and how to pay for college for their kids and will there even be a job for them if they do.
The left just doesn't get it. Never has and never will.
With the economy as the number one issue Clinton would have kicked McCain's decrypt old body out to the sea.
You lost it. Nobody to blame but blacks and white supposed "liberals" either. The rest of the party from the aged, to hispanics and Asians, to women and those "racist" blue collar whites solidly told you what their priorities were as far back as Super Tuesday and continued to as time went on.
If you are among those who INSISTED on voting for a guy because of his skin color, and that's exactly what most of you posting did, along with hatemongers like Brazille, then YOU'RE the racist, not those Americans who quite rightfully had bigger priorities.
A party that can't represent the people and their needs deserves to lose. Might as well stick a fork in.

if you are a democrat and support clinton, I think they are in short suppply here. These "Clinotn supporters" are really republcain sabotuers
If you are really democrats and support clinton, think about it long and hard.
you will be to blame if obama loses. whatever happens will be on yoru hands. I hope yoru ready for a draft. you must not have children or grandchildren, clinton supporters. If you do their going to the middle east. Sleep tight.
you want someone to blame don't blame obama and his supporters for what yoru choices enable. you will have no one to blame but the mirror for the america that comes out of a mccain presidentcy.
A draft. the econmoy in the tank. World-wide scorn. It's all on you gop, clinton supporters included. choose wisely. Your stubborness is burying america. to fear the future/change is to risk eliminating it.
you are making very messy beds gop, clinton supporters included. Are you prepared to sleep in it?
ARMY INFANTRY 11B for OBAMA.
Yes WE Can!
Have a good weekend people.
Again, I suggest ignoring the rush limbaugh propgogandists, Rather than mentioning them or refuting them, ignore. That is the only way to defat them. Irrelevance. make them look liekt eh traitor propgoandists they are.
