Hillary Clinton's big, brass ... fortitude

She battled Bill O'Reilly (and won) while hammering away on her gas-tax holiday plan, critics be damned.

The letters thread is now closed.

This just in: Hillary sez -- "OPEC can no longer be a cartel!"

"We’re going to go right at OPEC," she said. "They can no longer be a cartel, a monopoly that gets to gather once every couple of months" at a hotel in "some plush place in the world" to set prices." At least, that's what she told a crowd at a volunteer fire house in Merillville.

Uh-huh. I see.

Hillary is going to go to the Middle East and tell all the top oil-producing countries in the world to "break it up." Just like that. And the saddest part is that the people in Merillville applauded like this was something Hillary would actually do. And that OPEC would immediately disband. My God, the Hillary Trance is unbreakable. These poor, poor souls. Hillary's legions of useful idiots.

MORE ON "BALLS" IN RHYME

Another take on Hillary and "fortitude" (and the election)as viewed by some of those "bitter folk" in Pennsylvania

BITTERMAN’S REVENGE

© 2008

I was sittin’ in the backwoods in front of my TV

Chompin’ my tobacca, feeling bitter as can be.

You see, I’ve got no job to go to ‘cause it was shipped far o’er the sea.

My house is in foreclosure, and now I am up a tree.

This war drags on and on. My son’s stuck in Iraq

While the man in the White House struts around crowin’ like a cock.

I was ready to give up my hope and just sit right down and sob

‘Cept then I saw Hillary out there runnin’ to take ole George’s job.

Seems George and Dick are movin’ on. (Cain’t happen fast enough for me.)

Hillary’ says she’s gonna take the White House, and looks like that might come to be.

Says she’s gonna fight for jobs and work hard for health care, too,

And damned if I don’t I believe her ‘cause I’ve seen what she can do.

She was ordered to get outta the race. She was told to fold and quit,

But Hillary’s a fighter. She tough and smart and just don’t take no s—DELETED—t!

I was out here feelin’ sorta lost and even kinda sad,

But when they all tol’ Hillary to shut her mouth, that made me fightin’ mad.

I went right out and voted for her, and you know what?

I’m downright glad!

Yesterday, by gum, she won and now things don’t seem so bad,

‘Cause thanks to all us “bitter hicks,” Hillary’s still out there gainin’ ground,

And even folks who hated her have started comin’ around.

She’s facin’ Barack with all his millions

And “Mad John” with years in hallowed halls,

But my money’s on the little lady ‘cause seems to me she’s got all the balls.

They tried real hard to stiff her, just like they dumped on me,

But Hillary, she called their bluff and then made history.

So, now I’m sittin’ in the back woods grinnin’ ear to ear,

Thumpin’ on my bible and clingin’ to my gun.

And feelin' downright happy as I loudly cheer,

“Hang in there feisty lady! Run, oh Hillary! Run!”

M.C. Wonderous Woman!

Hon, you're the ONE!

@ roxlaw

But by far the most interesting aspect of her new persona is that she waited until she had effectivly "castrated" Barack Obama with her race based tactics that all too easily appealed to the so-called reagan democrats (an oxymoron if I ever heard one). She inflamed the racial divisions through the Rev, Wright decacle, South Carolina, Texas, etc. But it wasn't until she got to PA when the claws really came out and all pretense at racial civility was lost.

Please give an example of Hillary Clinton's exact "race-based" comments quoting her. You can't. Rev. Wright said "God Damn America," something that many people understandably took offense at. Barack Obama has disassociated himself from many of Wright's comments. He disavows them. Are you saying that Barack Obama has become racist? Or are you merely saying that because of Clinton's campaigning against him he is now unmanned? You think he is ball-less? Oh, dear. You think he is pretty weak, don't you? You don't have a very high idea of Obama, do you? You disagree with him on Rev. Wright, on patriotism, and on AIDS. Hillary Clinton doesn't. Barack Obama now agrees with her on Rev. Wright's statements. How come she is racist and Barack Obama is not?

When she thought she had him on the ropes, out jumps the alter-Hillary and from that point on her lies and other baggage were lost in translation. Nevertheless, the ethnics bought into the latest iteration of Hillary which effectively prevents Obama from returning fire in-kind.

Who are these "ethnics" you disdain? Please be more specific. I hope you are not spouting racism.

Imagine the headlines in the minds of the ethnics if he were to attack her the same way that she has attacked him. Powerful Black man attacks poor, innocent white woman who was simply defending her honor. Yeah, like Obama stands a chance after she has repositioned herself as the great white hope.

He is not so powerful if he is unmanned so easily. Obama could try something new: detailed and explicit plans to counter her, better debating techinique, accepting the free-flow debate she proposed. Ha! He can't hold a candle to her in debate. I guess that is one arena where the better "man" wins.

(I am trying to talk to you on your level where everything is drama, hyperbole, and race and gender paradigm.)

Wondrous Woman

I gotta tell ya straight

I don't share your view

And one these days

this election'll be through

I support Barack Obama for reasons I consider sound and true

And would not vote for Hillary Clinton if you paid me to

@ Aka

Listen, I really don't want to get bogged down in the issue of Clinton's racism at this time, mostly because I (and others) have recently written extensively about it in these pages.

Right now, all I'll say is that every time the word "Farakkhan" escapes Clinton's lips, she's being a racist.

Period.

Full stop.
