Why Jeremiah Wright is so wrong

I applaud Bill Moyers for being fair to Obama's pastor, but their PBS hour won't chase questions about his grim view of America. Plus: More Wright tapes emerge.

The letters thread is now closed.

Thank God all this stuff is coming out now

Thank the dear lord for all of this coming out now while there is still time to stop Obama. He cannot win a general election with all of this Rev. Wright nonsense. The only way Democrats are going to win the White House this year is if Hillary is the nominee. We might have enough time to get this behind us and then let Obama be VP. Come on Indiana and NC. We are counting on you.

That's What SOMEONE Needed To Say To Wright

More on Wright being "Wrong"

When I said "you just don't get it" yesterday, I forgot to point out a little fact that is getting no air play. When the Clintons were in the white house they sought counsel from none other than Jeremiah Wright for their marital problems. If he was ok then, why is he NOT ok now???

Wright is telling the truth about our country and we are TOTALLY uninformed because of our mis-education system and YOU the MEDIA who keep pushing MIS-INFORMATION and SPIN in the guise of news. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Only if we face the truth can we right the wrongs that are being done here and around the world.

Wha-ah-ha-ha-ha

"Thank the dear lord for all of this coming out now while there is still time to stop Obama."

You republicans crack me up. Mr. Obama is being somewhat inconvenienced by all this republican swift-boating and guilt by association shit dredged up by the Bitch Brigade, but it ain't gonna stop him.

@the Notorious W.E.S.

You haven't spent much time listening to preachers or reading the Bible, have you?

You also have no clue that the government and industry have done some really awful things and that people who know about that stuff have every reason to suspect their intent.

You know they have admitted doing research to target certain racial groups with viri and even came up with the idea to turn the enemy gay with an aerosol concoction. Unless you don't read the news.

Keep in mind that the anthrax was manufactured in a US military facility and was used against not only Americans, but a congressman and a journalist. If the preacher said that, would you be ok with that, as it is true and without a doubt.

Dark and lonely on a summer's night.

Kill my landlord. Kill my landlord.

Watchdog barking. Do he bite?

Kill my landlord. Kill my landlord.

Slip in his window. Break his neck.

Then his house I start to wreck.

Got no reason. What the heck?

Kill my landlord. Kill my landlord.

C-I-L my land lord!

Greedy Obama and his rabid supporters are going to give GOP clean sweep in November

Repugs are using the Rabid Right and Liberal Obama all over the country against local Democrats by association.

This is why you don't let rabid blacks and college kids convince you to endorse an unviable inexperienced unknown.

I knew this would happen. If the crazy, rabid incompetent leftwing woudl have just ONCE learned from the past and stopped cutting off their nose to spite their mug, by now HRC would be ahead of McCain by 30 points and the Dems woudl be set to take a national landsweep instead of losing in one and disingrating into oblivion.

AS for moveon and the salon obama rabids adn black racists, everyone should just take a dump in their lattes.

Can sit there and play the game however they want. Oh we are just blowing off steam from past injustice....But leave the damn kids out of it.

Even Erica Jong Gets It About Wright (and Jong has OPENLY Supported Hillary)...So Why Can't Joan?

Erica Jong has summarized the media horde's mindless treatment of the Rev. Wright issue BRILLIANTLY. And while Jong has openly declared her support for Hillary Clinton (unlike Joan Walsh), she is able to analyze and understand the Wright situation (again, unlike Joan Walsh.)

A few highlights, but the full piece is WELL worth a read (click my name for the link). Read the Jong piece, and you'll be introduced to what a a stupid "gotcha issue" looks like from a feminist, intellectual, Hillary Clinton supporter who is an astute observer, not a shallow pundit.

Wright seems utterly sincere to me. He strikes me as having a true spiritual calling. When he says, "America's chickens have come home to roost," I can't fault his logic. Haven't we been squandering hard earned taxpayer money on overseas adventures while we starve poor children? Haven't we been supporting dictators while prating of democracy? Haven't we been enriching profiteers at the expense of health care and education? You betcha.
A week ago I told my audience in Rome that in the last several years, I've been ashamed to be an American. A cheer went up from the amphitheater. It was such a relief, audience members later told me, to hear an American speak the truth for a change.
So where's the discussion of Jeremiah Wright's real calling? You can't find it. Our idiotic press prefers to play orphaned excerpts and force Barack Obama to apologize for words he never spoke. What is this apology stuff? Everyone has to apologize for their pastors, their doctors, their mothers, their fathers, their churches, their social affiliations. Why? Apologies are cheap. Inspiration is hard to find.
Just because a man is inspired by his pastor doesn't mean he agrees with every word his pastor says. Duh. Even a moron knows that....

Hold on One Second...

The ONLY reason Rev. Wright continues to be a source of fascination for the media is that it allows them to paint Obama as a Scary Angry Black Man, by virtue of his association with Rev. Wright, who really IS an Angry Black Man, although his scariness depends entirely on the listener's level of White Paranoia.

Is Wright running for President? Has Obama released a statement saying, "I agree 100% with everything the Rev. says, he is my top advisor?" No? The why the fuck are we still talking about this? Joan? NYTimes? Reporters? Hello?

........

p.s. shout out to Weeping for Brunnhilde!
