Hillary is Hillary
and being that she is who she is, her first impulse is to complain about the rules. Then, after that, the hard-core whining, bitching and moaning commences.
What a clueless dweeb.
-
Actually it does
If anyone survives the onslaught of ads that have been purchased in PA, then perhaps the candidate has some electability issues. Mitt was doomed when they started calculating the amount spent per delegate. Will they do the same in PA?
-
grassroots
If Hillary had the money, she'd spend it. it's not an ethics issue. Obama has been far more effective in generating broad based grassroots support that allows him greater opportunities for fund raising from ordinary folk. She can't complain about an advantage he gained by good planning and hard work. Those are qualities she claims as her own. The figures do not bear her out. Is that a Bosnian sniper I hear?
-
borrow and spend
Hillary's running a republikan campaign: borrow and spend. her unpaid bills are stacking up. even her K street cadre of consultants want to be paid sometime. How very Bushian of her: put it on the credit card, leave it for someone else to worry about. Hand me a Kleenex.
-
I'm sure it doesn't matter
None of this is reality based, it's spin based. Other than loons and junkies no one is really really paying attention.
-
The money argument is such nonsense
A large part of the primary contest is about fund raising. In fact, primaries are much more about money than votes. Truth be told, primary candidates rarely drop out because they can't win. They drop out because they've run out of money.
The reason Obama has more money isn't because he's pulled it out of some trust fund of his, it's because he's a better fund raiser than Clinton and because his campaign hasn't squandered cash like the Clinton campaign has.
To argue that spending more money in PA somehow taints his performance if he does well is ridiculous.
-
electro robot
you're paying attention. Me, I'm a loon. Are you a junky? Polls close in 42 minutes, but big city totals will be coming in later, giving you a chance to get really excited early. unless you're disinterested, in which case go back to sleep.
-
Spin Spin Spin
If anyone survives the onslaught of ads that have been purchased in PA, then perhaps the candidate has some electability issues. Mitt was doomed when they started calculating the amount spent per delegate. Will they do the same in PA?
So that's the thesis now? The most money should automatically mean victory, unless the candidate who spends the most has "electability issues"?
The smell of desperation is in the air.

what does money spent have to do witht he results.
Report facts joan. If anyone should be staying away from opinion and false narratives/vicotries it's you.
She won? She lost? stick to that. Stick to false reasons why she should stay in. Attack obama daily. Stick to what you do best.
Money spent? hahahahahahahah
Hypocrite gop. You are a funny people. You would liek us to say you always look at the positive. I prefer to say you always go with the propoganda. Always false gop world, rather than reailty. I guess if your a crazy person a false world on your terms is easier than reality. It is also the makings of an insane person to disregard reality for their made up world and rules.
ignore the gop's bogus rules. They are made up to tilt teh game. They don't paln on playing by their own fascist rules anyway.
Frickin hypocrite republcains. Your weak attempts are funny. Good thing we are not a nation of dittoheads anymore, or we would be in trouble.
-
what?
"So: This is clearly going to be the Clinton message if she doesn't win big, but I'm not sure it'll be convincing. Reminding Democratic voters, donors and superdelegates of Obama's superior fundraising prowess doesn't make her seem like the most electable candidate."
then why make the arguement? i don't get you joan.
"It would be moronic to say blah based on these reasons".
blah blah blah.
She makes an arguement then refutes it two lines later. At least you knwo what's coming. :)
But why powst it in the first place. Anyone else see relevance? to make a arguement then destroy yoru own arguement? hmm.
journalism 101. time to go back to the drawing board joan. While I agree money earned or spent has not place at this point in the contest, I agree with you there, why bring it up then? hmm.
Can some smart clitnon bobblehead, i mean supporter, enlighten me on this one. Maybe I'm just and idiot sexist gay cultist who can't figure out why one would make an argeument then refute in in the same paragraph.

Mark Penn's Bill
...makes up a good chunk of her debt. I could have given her bad advice too, for a lot less money.

Joan suggested that the Clinton campaign would put forth this argument, but that, in Joan's opinion, it will not be a convincing argument (to the voters) or a valid one.
Joan is not putting forth the argument herself, just speculating on what the Clinton campaign will say.
I don't know why you're having trouble understanding this, but I feel quite sure it has nothing to do with you being gay. (An "idiotic cultist," however - well, those are your words, not mine. Nor Joan's.)
-
I think what Joan means is . . .
Can you buy an election? This is a phenomenal amount of money. Who can compete against that? What normal person, never mind a Clinton? It is more than a bit unseemly.
-
thanks

So joan is speaking for the clinton's now, no longer herself? She no longer has her own voice? now she posts what others would say? Or may say? I want that job. Where do I sign up.
Why not wait one day and see what clinton will or will not say herself.
you republcains, i mean clinton supporters are funny. Always do the gop's work for them. "this is what they will say."
hahahahahhaha
ooooookkkkkkaaaaayyyyyy, gop. Whatever you say. You never propgoate and have never lied to use before. ok.
let the gop do their own dirty work joan. If you have a mind of yoru own, and I assume you do as you rose to editor of salon, use it please. opinon heresay and gossip belongs in us weeky. you got nothing gop. and it shows.
