syphillitic flaccidity
I'm sure you're familiar, and probably familial, with limp dicks. that's why the Klinottonians hunger for blow jobs, which you provide without ceasing. Check the polls, check the fundraising, check the delegate counts, check the Vegas odds, then check your Depends. Like you, fulla shit. She's done. One dead porker. Roadkill. Dumb and done. almost time to change your batteries on your "friend". Loser.

The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing
Um...Joan, honey? You might want to start reading your own website a little more. I mean you post this garbage at the SAME time that Glenn Greenwald just deconstructed and exposed this type of rhetoric for self-serving idiocy that it is, AND when War Room has devoted tons of post to detailing exactly how and why the "tough" questions that "most people" wanted answered were really shallow, petty fluff that failed to serve the interest of the American public. As Bart Simpsons would say, "The ironing is delicious."
I think SOMEONE should spend less time palling around with Matthews and Buchanan, and more time looking at the website she's suppose to be editor of. Please start curing yourself NOW before you fully succumb to "punditocracy" diesease.

Wow Joan, really?
I can't help but think that this installment was designed for anything but click-thru traffic. Stumble? For calling out the issueless Corporate Club Press who is got its' tabloid-esque talking points from Sean Hannity? Of course the press has forgotten what its' role in society is supposed to be, so I guess I understand that you need to look at the bottom line. I (naively) thought that you and Salon were going to remain different, despite the recent writings on the outhouse wall. Hard to tell if you're getting a little too desperate or a little too successful these days.

A vote for Nader or Mckinney
Is not a vote for Clinton, Obama, or McCain.
If you imagine them running for student government president, the juvenile idiocy would be understandable. That these three stooges are running for President of the United States is beyond scary.
Any of the three will continue Bush's policies. Yes, we will be fooled again.
For those of you who are only voting for Hillary because she is a Woman, and for all of you who are only voting for Obama because he is Black, vote for McKinney. She is a Woman and she is Black.
Fro those of you who are only voting for Hillary because she isn't Black, and for all of you who are only voting for Obama because he isn't a woman, vote for Nader. He is a Man and he is White.
If you are voting for McCain, go to hell, you stupid sots.
"Don't blame me. I voted for none of the above."

Obama Falls Down
What a laugh these letters are. Criticize Joan if you want to, but reality has just set in for Obama.
LATEST Democractic Presidential Polls:
Gallup is Clinton 46 to Obama 45. On both of these, Obama went down significantly and Clinton up in the past several days.
AND...
Rasmussen poll is now Clinton 43 to Obama 45. Sorry, but Obama is way down from where he was..
So, yeah, I would say the poor showing at the debate hurt him.
And in Pennsylvania, it's important to look at polling companies that really have a one hell of a great track record (elections they have called that landed on a dime) and my money goes to SurveyUSA and their last poll was Clinton 54 to Obama 40 a few days ago. If SurveyUSA were a racehorse, I'd be following them around the country to every race - making a bundle.
Obamabots (that doesn't mean all all Obama supporters, just the ones with their head in the Obama clouds) can spin, spit venom and pretend all they want to, it won't change reality.
Gravity still works.

Your post on Obama's debate
Hi Joan,
This is my first time visting Salon, visa vie The Drudge Report, and the post about Obama's debate stumble caught my attention. Not to get overly personal, but what really caught my attention was your avatar caricature and your actual video appearance. The avatar may have been accurate maybe 10-15 years ago.
I guess what I'm saying is you are doing the same thing as other pundits and assuming that "most of America" can't see past the superficial. I find comments such as yours psycho-analyzing middle America just as condescending to the American intelligence like Charles Gibson speaking in synchopation peering over the top of his glasses reading questions.
Just my opinion.

@ maureenodonnell -- Well said
Although I'm not at all a Hillary supporter, I think your insights into how America is seen by the rest of the world, our Democratic primary, and the lack of civility here at Salon was remarkably articulate and accurate.

The new politics

-- tom payne "
I've got no argument with longtime activists who are supporting Obama. Like I said, I'll gladly vote for him in the general.
But the above quote from tom payne, along with comments like those of Randi Rhodes, are what disturbs me. Is this elevating political discourse? The above comments seem to be all too common among the "new people" being brought into the system.

damnthatreality
national polls show Obama up 20. Poll averages show Billary's lead in penn down to 5, from 20 a couple weeks back. super delegate lead for bill is now 13, used to be 60. Your hand picked stat is utter bullshit, damnthatlosingbitch. all you have to do is google democratic presidential polls, and take a peruse around. She's losing, every bit as much as before bittergate and Wednesday's Clinton cunnilingus festival. She's done. She'll win Penn by three or so, then lose NC by 12 to 15. Done. finished. Kaput. bankrupt. Sod off.

The territory
Gotcha questions come with the territory? What territory is that? Old school politics. I think we are ready for something new, something substantive. Face it Joan, Hillary is all strategy an no substance.
