yeah, he and Toni Morrison, Garrison Keillor, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and all Obama supporters are drinking from the same chalice. Sorry that you won't be joining the party because you are so stuck enough not to rock and roll.
Better aka?
Say your sorry for turning into republicans. Say your sorry for siding with rush limbuagh and sean hannity. Say sorry for dividing the party out of selfishness. say sorry for calling us a cult and homos.
Better if I change my words? I wouldn't want to scare you saying ONE word that makes you unconfortable. You republcains are only allowed free speech after all. Not us pesky elitist seixist cultists. We have to bow down and talk the the gop cult. Nope. Not me. I have free speech and will not do what you want. I will not let you force me to censor myself. Not going to happen.

You let the hannity coulter clones scare you. Not going to happen. Uless yoru repbulcains freinds attack us again, that is
Greg Nuebeck is only being satirical. he is Obama all they way.
Sounds like them though, doesn't it. :)
That's how crazy those people are. Crazy senerios. sorry to jump. clinton will say the same thing next week, I'm sure.
That's her next move. Courting the 24 crowd with these crazy senerios and false narratives. hahahah
Carol,
I appreciate the point you make about Obama's extreme supporters. However, I am disgusted with the extreme elements on both sides. This ongoing rancor serves only to exacerbate the party problems that already exist. Because of that, any dialog that feeds the Republican spin machine is damaging. I am very concerned that HRC's people continue to attack and often support McCain in subtle ways. That doesn't mean Obama's people aren't busy behind the scenes, but whatever any of these factions have to say is a plus for the Republicans.
Joan may be concerned with Hillary fanatics, as well, but what disturbs me is the lack of parity from a political source that I hoped would remain less partisan. Because Joan pushes Hillary and I take exception to that does not make me an Obama supporter. Rather, my point is that the partisan rhetoric does not improve the Dem's chances in the election.
Let's face it- there will always be fringe elements in both parties. But how much we let these factions dictate news coverage is troubling. Case in point: the bitter discussion. CNN beat it to death yesterday and MSNBC wasn't far behind. Instead of talking about the issues, once more we are talking about the diverson. I despair of the Democartic party ever rising above the petty wedge issues the right dictates. If this party is about the people, then we need to stop swimming in the darkest part of the pool.
People are desperate to be heard. Joan has a voice and I think some responsibility not to feed into the daily gossip, but to bring the focus back to what is happening in this country. This is old, old stuff and once again we are falling into the Rovian cess pool that speaks always to humanity's lowest common denominator. More succinctly (after all these words!), if you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Hold both candidates accountable; don't beat them to death with petty grievances.
Thanks so much for you comments. I enjoy your letters. Luan
your fans - salon fan! Could you show up more often?
Joan, You say it well. This is just another example of Obama's inexperience and whether his supporters admit it; the "swift boat republicans" will blow him away with this and his minister. He should have served at least one full term in the US Senate as he has no record. He really hasn't done anything in the US Senate and had he been in the Senate when the authorization for the war in Iraq came around; who knows how he would have voted, as in the Illinois state senate he voted "PRESENT" 130 times. A President has to take a stand; he can't vote "Present." His minister was his mentor and he has taken lessons from Ted Kennedy; so does that make him qualified. People are following after Obama just as they did bush because they wanted to have a beer with bush. Well, look where that got us. We can't afford another on the job training as our country is in the worst mess since Hoover and the depression. We need experience.
The source does not matter. Only the word.
"To many people, making to many problems. And not much love to go around. Tell me why this is the land of confusion.
This is the land we live in. These are the hands we're given.
Make it a place worth fighting for."

:)
And the Clinton campaign has been exploiting it exhaustively out of (thorougly disgusting) political expediency. Joan is either not as smart as I previously gave her credit for, or she's in utter denial about what the Clinton campaign is doing. Do I think Hillary is homophobic? No, no more than I think she's a racist. But I DO think she's pounced on both racial and gay code words and statements out of pure political expediency, and in some ways, that's even worse.
I am quite amazed at the vitrol coming from the Obama supporters. They are know far and wide for their hateful nasty behavior. Do they actually think that they are doing their candidate any favors or enticing anyone to vote for their candidate.
The answer NO WAY IN HELL. They're like a bunch of crazy fanatical cultists that have been let loose on the internet.
"I won't be coming home tonight. My generation, will make it right. We're not just making promises. We know we'll never keep."
Is the one who said about Obama and I quote---"When he walks in the room, you just want to follow him somewhere. Anywhere."
