    @AKA Smith

    AKA Smith: "Xrandadu Hutman, voting for women's causes is not the same thing ... as being an avowed feminist. Being married to a feminist does not make a man a feminist."

    I really gotta get going, but I agree, those things alone do not make somebody a "feminist." But they sure count for something, don't they? At this point I think it's fair to ask you how you define feminism, since proactively supporting women's causes and whatnot fall so short for your definition.

    AKA Smith: "When you say that Obama is a feminist, then I am looking for a specific statement in which Obama has the guts to say that he is a feminist. I am looking for that because it is not popular to be a feminist. Obama would lose some of his bully boy supporters if he said that, wouldn't he?"

    So it would seem you define "feminist" as a person who says "I am a FEMINIST!" out loud. I would hope there's more to your definition than that.

    I dunno, maybe you should Google "Obama" and "feminism" and see what comes up. I am sure it would be instructive.

    Anyway, this whole conversation roots back to your statement that you're voting for Clinton because you're a woman. Keeping that in mind, I do think you should consider that whether or not he fits your definition of feminist, Obama would be a very good president in terms of his impact on feminist causes.

    Maybe we can continue this conversation at a later time, when I have more time to go find and sift through appropriate evidence that I can copy-and-paste and give web links to. I'm not backing down from this, but I really gotta go -- I have a hot date! (Not really....just something I have to do.)
