The candidate's Pennsylvania remarks, and his passionate defense of them, are more convincing than the debate about them would have you believe.

Let me put this simply: you can't fucking read. You'd confuse dr seus with t s eliot, slim whitman with walt whitman, james dickey with your own tiny dickie. there is no stylistic similarities among manos and villemar and me. Oh, there are some: we all write mostly in English, we all think you're a pathetic puta, and we all think Obama is the better of the two remaining candidates. Now, empty your Depends, go out and wait for the black helicopters.

  • Villemar, that's probably true but, at the moment, we're more interested in gambling on Dustin the Turkey (a foul-mouthed puppet fowl) representing Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest

Last weekend all the money was going on the Grand National, the world's most famous steeplechase ov over 4 miles, and, as you probably know, that when we're not completely sozzled, munching potatoes, fighting the English, bragging about "my uncle the bishop and my cousin, Father Dan", we're quite partial to betting.

  • I don't mean to rub any sensitive any noses

    But in modern America

Things ain't comin' up all wine and roses

  • Father Dan? I 'm more partial...

to Father Ted, Father Dougal and Father Jack, myself.

  • maureen

I enjoyed talkin' singin' divas the last time. What do you make of Sinead "O Conner, and what's she up to these days? I know some are sensitive about her politics, but I love her voice. It's angelic.

  • Manos thank-you & Fester

clearly we can't be free without an education. Its so important....and it's ironic that we pay more over decades of life sentences to incarcerate than we would to educate. Why can't this be the focus of some new campaign slogan:

    EDUCATE. DO NOT

    INCARCERATE INNOCENT CHILDREN

    IN INFERIOR SCHOOLS....

    THOSE YOU EDUCATE

    YOU WILL NOT NEED TO

    INCARCERATE...

    FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE LIBERALS:

TAX PAYERS FOR PROPER EDUCATION INSTEAD OF USELESS WARS AND PRISONS...

I want to love my country, and I do, but I don't love our mistakes. And they are far from over. I'm often ashamed of the politics in this country.

  • All the proof you need

Guys, just go back and look at the thread since this morning. tom payne, villemar and manos99 not only show up together, but they post within minutes of each other, even after a gap of several minutes without hearing from any of them.

Coicidence? Wake up. The guy's a pathetic phony. Even when he goes to take a piss or get a Coke (or maybe snort some), he doesn't even have the discipline to set one personality aside for a while.

    It's as plain as day.

tom/villemar/manos99, you're a pathetic phony -- and a racist, too. Seeing as you're so daring, how about attributing some jive talk to Obama, since you're so fond of making racist assumptions about a person based solely on his last name.

  • doloresflower i checked back and found out you said this about your boyfriend

"My boyfriend is Irish, working class Catholic background and doesn't really like Obama. I don't quite understand it." as anyone who's read some of this thread's posts, i understand all too well. fifteen minutes ago tim russert was on TV along with mary matalin, james carville and bob shrum. all catholic? quite possibly. all irish? who knows? all honkie though (ethnic white). now what would mary have in common with james? they earn their money the same way, though through different parties. i would think it really weird if everyone in my nuclear family weren't for obama - but then, i'm one of the bots. perhaps he's just one of many possibles. my guess is that your boyfriend is racist - not klan, just racist. he can change and maybe you can change him. but most likely he won't. since both of you are white it won't come up much and you can ignore it when it does. to me, dislike of obama is a definite negative, but i don't have to have dinner with him.

  • Anyway

Ignoring the so-so reviews and off to see "Leatherheads." Have fun frothing among yourselves.

  • Surarez

I'd reach down to swat ya

but my Manos minions already gottcha!

    For verily

    it is plain to see

    there exists at Salon

    a dark and vast

    letter page conspiracy!

  • God, how _should_ Obama act to please you, Joan?

Because he's well-dressed and well-spoken, he's "elitist." If he were dressed as a working-class man and spoke the way working-class people are "supposed" to speak, he'd be slammed as being everything from "ghetto" to "trailer trash." Obama is not the problem, Joan. Your insecurity and "he's uppity" attitude is.

  • @Manos

    You are an anus.

    Your words smell

    and are brainless.

You are also villemar and Tom Payne, as Saurez has also sniffed out. There is a room in hell where demons will piss acid in your face forever.

  • Bitter, a sound bite made for the Republicans

It is never a good idea to talk about people behind their backs, especially if the remarks can be construed as snooty. For all the people who are complaining that this is a non-issue, I agree with you for the most part, but truthfully, this is not going to pan out well for Obama...though it will go off the political radar after a day or two...that is until McCain brings it up again...actually again and again if Obama is the nominee along with Rev. Wright and Michelle Obama's remarks.

Sorry, I'm not into water sports. You'll have to pick another playmate.
