Context is everthing. Indeed
Context is 10-30 seconds. An excerpt played over and over and over 30 seconds at time. That's your context.

To be frank
I don't get the big contentious bone, And I don't like Joan's grandious tone, but knowing the way she lords it, she won't let this one alone.
You can bet on it. That's not a prediction, that's wait and see, this is what WILL be.

If Barack had been involved in national politics as long as Hillary has, and some new younger woman with just 3 years in the Senate were running against him for President, and he had worked with McCain on national defense the way Hillary has, he might have made a similar comment.
You still have not answered my question about how you interpreted Hillary praising McCain who is really really a Republican. Instead you give me your spin on a wole lot of ifs.
You accuse me of not being critical about Obama and here you are defending the most indefensible. It is OK for Hillary to praise McCain at the detriment of her own party; it is ok for Hillary to resort to dirty Rovian attack ads; it is ok for Hillary to support NAFTA and then not support it but her husband makes a shitload of money off of the Columbia influence peddling; it is ok for Hillary to lie about her foreign policy experience. If you are indeed a person who values integrity then these Hillary lies should be a cause of much concern for you. And she did vote for the war on Iraq.

To be honest, during canvassing today we didn't get into much of that kind of discussion since the ones we found home were either solidly already for Obama, in which case we made best use of our time by identifying and registering and moving on, and we hit very few undecided. We met one woman on the street, reg. Dem., who was obsessed about Obama removing his flag pin, as evidently wearing a flag pin was a make or break issue for her. And yes, she had listened to his explanation. move on.
I have had some lengthier conversations in other settings recently with low-income citizens and I would say the war in Iraq is a big issue around here. One woman said her grandson had done two tours and was saying he would leave the country if they try to make him go back again. People also worry that the war is related to our problems with the economy. Prices are starting to concern people, but the cost of living here is still remarkably low compared to other areas of the country.

I actually did see Kung Fu Hustle, enjoyed it but can't recall specific details as I saw it on pay per view in Vegas in a vicodin, red bull and jaegermeister induced haze, as a respite between my sybaritic carousings. Oddly enough, I stayed at the Paris. So I truly must be a Francophile Sybarite Merovingian Elitist.
PS. I'd totally hit Ms. Bellucci, I guess that makes me a mysogynist too.

You are spinning it all too hard, too far, too wrong.
What Barack said about Reagan and the Republicans being "the party of ideas for the last 10-15 years or so" was such incredible, hypocritical pandering.
And it is quite disgusting to me as a devoted life-long Democrat who has witnessed it all to praise Reagan over the Clintons, when the Clinton administration was far more socio-economically successful and progressive for this country. What part of all of that do you not get?
Under Reagan the rich got richer and the poor got poorer. Reagan took away all the programs and regulations that helped protect the public's best interest, for short-term economic gain. Reagan spent billions of tax dollars building up enough nuclear weapons to blow the the planet to bits.
In high school, I would sometimes try and justify not doing my homework by the idea that "we could all blow up tomorrow," that's what it was like having President Reagan in office.
What Hillary said about LBJ being an important part of making MLK's dream a reality was far more innocent, practical, and constructive.
Hi Aka! I am not Joan.
But I do have to go...

madam I wanna add one
Is it okay to pack thousands and thousands of our people off to fight a trillion dollar boondoggle war in Iraq, and not even admit you were wrong? She's a waste of a discrace.

@unschooler The War
Does seem a little crazy in here with the focus between Obama and Hillary. There's some nasty stuff happening in surgified Baghdad right now. Energy prices are gettting increasingly worse here in the NE. Our gas prices may not be the highest, but heating oil has shot through the roof. Produce prices are rising as well.
It's pretty crazy how we've tapped danced through the Patreaus testimony.
We need to really start hammering the current Iraq 'strategy'.

manos my man
lumidense gets irritable when we call her bluff. All this saintly shit about integrity and honesty really does not apply for Hillary. Only Obama. I wonder why. These Reagan Democrats really really suck. Thanks god for millions of white women who are openly supporting Obama or Salon would give white women a really bad name.

Have you had your blood pressure checked lately. You're really going to blow a gasket if you don't calm down.
And posting as "Villemar" isn't fooling anyone, either.

You say you're an elitist. You should try some of my fine wines. See I like to buy a bottle of cheap champagne, say like a bottle of Cold Duck, and mix it with a fifth of ripple. I like to call it Champipple.
