@odog -- it probably shouldn't but...
just letting them and everyone else know that not all middle aged white women are automatically Hillary supporters.
I believe there are many people that think that middle-aged white women who have grown up in the 70s would not miss an opportunity to vote for a woman to become president. I guess I just like to take the opportunity to let folks know that isn't the case.
But you are right -- probably don't need to keep pointing that out. Or at least I wish I didn't.
FWIW -- I was laughing my butt off at your Chris Matthews imitation earlier. It was so spot on. Thanks for the laugh.

No answer Dave?
So Dave, your lack of response shows there is nothing showing that Joan has admitted her Hillary bias - that would at least mean she is honest - something she can't now say. But even if she did admit the obvious, she still should not try and slant Salon's coverage in such a one-sided way as been done here now for some time. No professional editor with integrity would do that. Nor would they start name-calling, which Joan has done to Obama supporters. For her and Ben Sen and Carville and numerous other Hillary supporters, I guess that's all they have let. That and dishonesty.

and after what we discussed on another thread today-
is there still anybody there who takes you seriously?

November is media lifetimes away
While I disagree with Ms. Walsh’s ongoing tacit support for Senator Clinton, I think this argument has some merit. Even the Clinton attack machine has an upside; it is better for the Rev Wright “scandal” to happen now than in October, no? The story will be moldy and boring to the easily distracted general electorate by then. I want Clinton to clean out every nasty half baked skeleton from the Obama closet (skeletons that the well funded Repub machine already knows about and has in the bank) in the next month so that the Republicans can’t use them down the road. Then, when she inevitably has to bow out, the Repubs will have nothing new except outright lies to throw at us. Not that they aren't above using outright lies...

Clinton Didn't Do Wright
The church sold the videos.........Which makes Obama's tale all the more ridiculous.

My fellow Democrats
Let's calm down! We've turned into something more like rabid sports fans than voters. Try role playing with a fellow dem who supports the other candidate and do a pretend switch -- argue from the other perspective. Another technique I've tried is making myself list three things I like about the candidate I don't currently support.
The process is marching on and another encouraging thing I've noted is that the voters who haven't had their turn yet are pretty happily excited about the prospect of getting their say.
Anyhow, that's my two cents for today.
Try watching this bloggingheads video of an Obama supporter and Clinton supporter actually having a fascinating, insightful and cordial discussion.

@AncientAssyrian -- Damnit
You made my saying anything more pointless.

Please define "good" for the Democrats
Given the obsessive support found here and elsewhere for a Democratic voter’s candidate and their frequently irrational defense of that candidate (and pointless persecution of the other candidate‘s supporters), somebody needs to explain what “good” for the Democrats means!

Joan Walsh
You do all this traveling and all we get is a T-shirt of obfuscation about your candidate Hillary? Hey, while you were gone, Hillary got exposed for her whopping lies. Did you know that? But you were on TV, CNN I believe, where you said, that was so yesterday. Not even a mention in your column today that Hillary is and always has been A BIG FAT LIAR. What are your thoughts on that. But wait. That is yesterday's news, no?
Never mind that you tore up Obama and his speech on a measly word, "typical." How about taking the axe to Hillary's "Misspoken." Can your unbiased, feminist heart for once, dare to address the sleaziness to which Clinton has descended? That bringing up Wright again and talking about not being able to choose our family but you can choose your pastor, does that not ring very very false in your tin ear? She DID choose her family. She chose a lying, cheating, philandering husband and stuck on to his coattails for a shot at going back to the White House. Only this time, the Oval Office would have the toilet seat down permanently.
You are dead wrong. If she steals the nomination, 100% of my large family will NOT vote for McCain, and will NOT vote for any Democrat, but will switch to the Green Party. We will not be dissed by the Democratic Party ever again. Now put that in your delusional pipe and smoke it.

@ ralpher
"To beat Obama's pledged delegate count. This is simply impossible. Even Huckabee got 33% of the vote in remaining contests."
Nearly impossible.
It's possible if Clinton can totally discredit Obama not just as a candidate, but as a human being.
That's her only chance and that's how she wants to go out.

Joan's lie on CNN, redux
According to Walsh on CNN last night: "Salon was all over this Bosnia story last week." All over? A search of Salon shows two War room briefs quoting other stories. No multiple columns from Joan ala Wright, ruminating on Hillary's ever-growing list of resume fabrications, no in-depth reporting or columns from other writers as with the Wright story, no reporting of the eruption of this story on the national stage the last couple of days, as Salon is continuing to do with the Wright "story". Two lousy war room briefs posted last week and that, according to Joan, is being ALL OVER IT. I'm sure there must be responsible journalists at Salon, but none of them seem to standing up to the yellow journalism being practiced by their editor. Joan Walsh and Hillary have shown themselves to be sisters in mendacity and deception - one is permanently ruining her reputation in politics and the other is taking what used to be a decent source for news and opinion down to the level of Fox News.
