Should Florida and Michigan vote again?

Sure it would be expensive, but the cost to the Democratic Party if superdelegates end up choosing the nominee would also be high.

The letters thread is now closed.

Anybody seen Hillary's tax returns?

Just what is she hiding there?

She sure has a lot of money. Who has paid off Bill?

Where did the money come from?

How much money is from Tony Rezko there?

How much from Norm Chu?

Who have the Clintons taken money from?

What do they owe them?

What's Hillary hiding?

WHAT'S HILLARY HIDING?

WHAT'S HILLARY HIDING?

WHAT'S HILLARY HIDING?

the democratic way

I do not believe that a bunch of poloticians should be able to get together and decide that a group of people should not have their votes counted. These people did not change the dates. They live in a country where you have the right to vote and their votes should count. Thats what our country is all about.

Got your answer here

"Could someone please provide some piece of objective evidence to suggest that she is running a dirty campaign."

Yep, got that answer.

WHERE ARE HER TAX RETURNS?

That's evidence of a dirty campaign right there. WHAT KIND OF DIRT IS SHE HIDING?

@wright

1. I'm sorry--I honestly have to run out the door, like 1/2 hour ago, so I can't look up where ever it was that I heard or saw that there was a rule they should take their names off the ballot. I will when I get home tonight, if only for my own satisfaction. Anyway, it was my understanding that they were asked to take their names off--maybe someone here mentioned it and gave a link to an NPR interview from the fall?--and all the candidates but she and Dodd followed through. So perhaps it wasn't a rule, but a request? I just don't know but someone will surely follow up with this.

2. I fail to see how that particular detail changes my point. Whether they were asked to do so, or even if they were not, the outcome is the same: the Michigan voters could not vote for him. "Uncommitted" is just not an acceptable alternative. Did the others--Edwards, et al--remove their names as stunts as well?

3. I've offered reasonable solutions here and elsewhere on salon and have tried really hard not to play dirty in my support. Would you kindly give me the benefit of the doubt about my intentions in the future before throwing around my inclination to spread "disinformation"? If I got that detail wrong, it was entirely in good faith.

And now I have to run.

Hillary's tax returns.

Is she breaking a rule by not releasing them? Just because her opponent asks her to doesn't mean that she has to, or is playing dirty by not agreeing. She said she'll release them when she's the nominee.

I live in Michigan and this is...

BULLSHIT!

If Jennifer Granholm had not signed the legislation that created this mess, well, we wouldn't be in it!

She is more and more a republican than a democrat and it ticks me off. She's a republican tool and is ruining the environment in Michigan (fast tracking 7 coal plants and dealing with Dow Chemical to water down their liability in a horrendous case of dioxin contamination that makes Love Canal look like your bathtub!

I think that person after person is trying very hard to give the election to John McCain. The idea of dragging out the democratic campaign for weeks and potentially MONTHS is all about drawing their attention to each other and NOT McCain. It's working wonders.

How much did Limbaugh's urging for people to vote for Hillary play in her 'winning'? The GOP is setting up Hillary so that she can be 'taken out' by Rovian style dirty tricks...

I don't think that Hillary can beat McCain and I wonder what the GOP will pull out in time to distract people from the democratic ticket in November. If it looks like they will lose then they will get desperate... Will Bin Laden be wheeled out of the freezer in Quantico? Stay tuned...

Watching NBC 6:30 news: McCain isn't 'Bush light', he's the next Bush, taking up where Bush leaves off... YIKES!!! =8-O

should Mi and Fla vote again?

My thought is that yes, they should. A new primary would be expensive, and from what I have seen, a caucus would benefit Obama (see Texas), but Mi Demo party has advised me that either option, caucus or re-vote in a primary, is impractical. It seems to me that the Mi Democratic party has "impraticaled" itself out of any say-so on the choice of the nominee.

Since Mi thinks it's impractical to have any kind of re=do, I think we should simply subtract 50% +1 of the total delegates available in Mi and Fla from the number needed for the nomination. Such a suggestion might make things more practical with regard to some sort of a re-vote

Michigan (my home state) and Fla played games. They lost. Since it is "impractical", let's go forward without them (and, I guess, me)!

Filthy dirty scummy tax returns

"Is she breaking a rule by not releasing them? Just because her opponent asks her to doesn't mean that she has to, or is playing dirty by not agreeing. She said she'll release them when she's the nominee."

Well, she's filthy dirty. She and Bill have been getting millions and millions of dirty dollars from all sorts of scummy places. If she was clean, she'd release them.

Maybe she lost them? If she could just find those lost Rose Law Firm billing records, she might find those pesky tax returns.

She's got a long long history of scummy deals, and this is just another one. I, as a democrat, get FU.CK.ING tired of having, for years and years and years and years, having to make excuses for this ethically corrupt politician. When will she stop making crappy excuses and release the tax records?

If we are going to elect this scummy person, we need to know what's buried in those tax returns.

Wednesday, March 5, 2008 04:18 PM

Hillary's had ethical problems for years

and this tax return thing is JUST ONE MORE ETHICAL CRAP JOB she's trying to cram down our throat.

Release the forms, HILLARY.

Quit lying about your money.

Who has paid off Bill, and by how much?

She just tossed 5 million of pocket change into her campaign. That kind of money IS CORRUPT, and I want to know WHERE THAT MONEY CAME FROM.

She and Bill didn't have this kind of money 10 years ago. All of a sudden, they are richer than Croesus. Why is that? Who paid them off?
