Attack Of The Hillary Nuns?
Okay, I couldn't resist biting on this one. I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. I'm still laughing; it's hard to get the words out because I can't see the computer screen through the tears.
I've heard Hillary supporters called a lot of names, but "nuns"? I needed a good laugh today and that was it! I mean, I had this image flash through my mind of this angry horde of little women dressed in black habits, running after some nefarious "press", little brown rulers held high above their heads as they chased down that demon "press", shrieking all the way.
Really, seriously, if I could stop laughing long enough I'd point out the U.S. Senate votes cast by Barack Obama on issues as far-ranging as a "yes" vote to reauthorize the Patriot Act; voting "no" on a John Kerry amendment to withdraw the troops from Iraq; voting "yes" to give $15 billion tax breaks, er, uh, "incentives" to the oil and gas industry; and voting in favor of limiting class action lawsuits against corporations (like ENRON).
Oh, I did stop laughing long enough to point that out, didn't I? Sorry. It must be my vindictive, self-righteous, single-minded, seek-and-destroy partisanship. Or, maybe it's that damned little nun again...
LOL, LOL, LOL

Well, glad we could get though one artical without each vote being broken into racial blocks
and then played against each other....
sorry, sarcasm is hard on a computer

I figured out your post. You are dyslexic. Where you said Hillary or variations thereof, what you REALLY meant was Obama. There there, don't be embarrassed.
I'm sure your therapist can recommend some exercises to help alliviate your symptoms.

@ Amerigo
Sometimes I think you are a little sex-obsessed. However, just when I start to dislike you, you say something utterly amusing -- like your comment in a SYA thread that women only want Jimmy Choos and granite countertops.
I wonder if you think that Obama should appeal to Hispanic/Latino women that way? Even they, like Anglo women, surely want Jimmy Choos and granite countertops. With that infusion of money he has, it should be a small investment. Forget television ads! It's the frivolous and contentless things in life that matter. But less expensive would be a bit of Spanish to help them come around. Say Si, se puede and their brains will just fly away in ectasy.
When I think of Bill's philandering, I always think of the blow job and how many men here at our very own Salon have suggested that he wouldn't have needed one if only Hillary had been blowing him. I was shocked to hear that, let me tell you. (Reading here at Salon has utterly coarsened me. I cuss like a sailor now.) But it seems as if the men on this board, even more than the women, never tire of reminding us that Bill cheated. Oh gee whiz, they sometimes imply, if only Hillary had spent more time on her knees we could have avoided the whole GWB era. If only Eve hadn't eaten that apple .... If only Pandora hadn't opened that box ....
(Don't tell anyone, but some of the Obama fans here just love to inject that cheatin' poison into every thread.)
Love your sense of humor. Vaya con Dios, etc.

good just keep these under the opinion section and it works for me!
But I still would like more then a blog. I guess that is sort of what this is...
But how about a point with support?
I think X. This is why I think so.
It would be more interesting then a string of facts that kind of wander.
I suppose this is the problem with blog journalism. We get lots of noise but less process.
It will be interesting to see which ends up contributing more. Or do we just end up with lots of noise and no understanding?

Joan, thank you
I really appreciate your commentary. I was beginning to wonder if Craig Crawford was going to be the lone voice crying in the wilderness about the anti-Clinton bias in the media.
Craig was the first one to mention--in Morning Joe--that it was the media who introduced the 'race card' into the campaign. I saw it myself. It happened when Hillary won and the pundits kept scratching their heads and wondering why were they wrong. Then, voila! one of geniuses pulled the rabbit out of the hat: the Bradley effect: people lie to pollsters about votic for a black candidate.
The media want mud wrestling, they don't want candidates discussing the issues. Too boring. Not good for the ratings.
Again, thanks for pointing out that Obama may be hurt by media adoration. It's beginning to happen.
Please let us know when you are going to be in MSNBC, otherwise I will not tune in.

Winning vs. Governing
Wow — it’s amazing the amount of projection and defensiveness one sees in these posts, two qualities that are positively married to each other in questions of power or race or gender.
Oh look: all three are at play here.

Obama Overload
I completely agree with Ms. Walsh. I was one of those undecided voters
who quickly became turned off by the media's lionization of Obama.
I'm a lifelong Dem and I began the primary season unsure about who I would
support. But, after weeks of pundit and commentator spin gushing about
Obama, I began to feel queasy about the media's love affair with this
candidate. At first, I thought it was my imagination that every time Hillary
or Bill questioned Obama's platform or policies, they were accused of
being racist or worse. After each debate, Hillary, who always did exceptionally
well, was dismissed and each time Obama was declared the winner. I was
stunned. Were these people watching the same dabate I had seen?
When Hillary won Florida, big time, that race was declared "unimportant."
On Super Tuesday, the buzz all over was that Obama won several states,
but little was mentioned about Hillary winning the largest states by sizable
margins and the big prize, California. If it had been Obama who won California,
the pundits would be crowning him the winner of the nomination! Although all
cable stations are guilty of Obamamania, MSNBC is by far the most slanted. I once was a fan
of MSNBC but I have a hard time even watching it now because within seconds
nearly every anchor attacks Hillary. Dan Abrams presents the only balanced
coverage on MSNBC in regard to the Clintons. I have nothing against Obama, but isn't
it better for our electoral process for the folks to be given fair media coverage?
