Warning: You're being scammed by the G.O.P.
Joan Walsh's kindly suggestion "Be fairer to Hillary Clinton, guys." made me think of the fellow just suspended over at MSNBC for accusing her of "pimping" her daughter. These "guys" Walsh is referring to are some of the most despicable, mysoginist, out-of-control characters inside television studios, and we continue to be subjected to them 24/7. Even Tom Brokaw admits that he played "hall monitor" when Chris Matthews was on the air with his Super Tuesday coverage. The corporate media juggernaut has been placed at the disposal of Barack Obama, spewing out story after story slamming Clinton and praising him. Republicans from coast to coast have re-registered in Democratic primaries by the tens of thousands to vote for him and against her. Yet he's still behind 100 delegates. What does that say about this first-term senator's chances of winning in November? It's not like he's going to have all those Republicans voting for him in the general election. This has always been about knocking out Hillary in the primary so Karl Rove's candidate, whoever it turns out to be, can coast into the White House next fall.
