Oprah is not a Traitor...A Divider, maybe.
Oprah has every right to endorse Obama, but to come out this early in the process is a double-edged sword. A lot of my Democratic friends who are Hillary supporters swore they would vote for John McCain if Obama gets the nomination. I know this would be a disapointment for Joan Walsh given all the effort she has put into lavishing praise on Obama. I don't see the Democrats coming together after all this is over. I for one will be, for the first time ever, voting Republican or sit this one out. Too ugly in the Democratic party for me right now.

Oprah Dreams a Nightmare.
Oprah says it's not about race. Only if you believe that is the case since Obama is biracial. I wonder if that is the reason for her support for Obama. Cool. One should have no problem with that. Hillary's husband is the first Black president, they say, so I guess that makes Hillary Biracial. So then, is that a reason for someone to vote for a candidate? The Republicans are chomping at the bits to have Obama run against them. There is no way the majority of the white people and hispanics are going to elect a biracial person, that looks black, to the White House. We are only a few weeks past Jena, La, New Orleans situation with the blacks there during Katrina, and a "Hangsman" noose on the cover of Golf magazine. Blacks make up only 13% of the population in this country... Blacks couldn't keep Bush from getting elected, and there is not enough Blacks to get Obama elected. Sorry, Oprah (and Joan Walsh). Two final words: REPUBLICANS WIN. (Bank on it)

Oprah's Black Eye
Oprah selection of Obama was strickly based on race. In essence, not unlike the jurors in the OJ trail, Oprah nullified her viewers by choosing race over gender. Her choice to endorse along racial lines is nothing more than covering her guild that she has a "white wish" she will never achieve in this lifetime. Her need to converse in Ghetto tones at these campaign stops is embarrassing and she has lost all the crediability she once had with her white audience. In Oprahs head and fantasy, she can make Obama another Steadman.

Oprah's Obama
Oprah's endorsement of Obama will do as much for him getting elected as World War II did for peace.

Question for Michelle
I'd like to ask Michelle Obama how they went from paying off their student loans only 3 years ago to owning an estimated $1,600,000 house. It seems she is saying this to make it seem that they are just like an ordinary family. I'd like to know why they bought such an expensive home if they were still paying off student loans. Do they have a mortgage on it? Being a state legislator and then a US Senator for four years wouldn't give most people enough money to buy such an expensive elite house. Where did they make their money? Was he a partner in that law firm? I had the impression from the debates that he had spent many years helping the needy, since he was critical of Clinton working in a law firm. Was Michelle the one pulling in the money? Basically, how did they go from needing loans to buying what has been called a mansion?

Joan: Very Refreshing
You've said what I feel then proved it with a perspective right on the money.

White "progressives" exposed!
Yes, Oprah is a free woman and the bitter white Hillary-ites can watch the View.
After reading the letters of many Hillary-supporters and I presume white democratic voters, I've come to the conclusion that when it comes to the issue of RACE, they are NO MORE ENLIG
HTENED than some of the most die-hard klansman. I've read some fair, albeit uninformed criticism of Senator Obama, but more often than not I've read where WHITE so-called PROGRESSIVES compare this black U.S. Senator to the likes of Ray Nagin, Michael Vick, and OJ. I'm not surprised. Most blacks expect this type of nonsense from white so-called PROGRESSIVES. We know YOU PEOPLE are upset about the uppity Negro senator and his black supporters that do not know their place. How dare these negros not vote for a white woman.
To you white so-called progressives, our place is in a supportive, servile role in the Democratic party. Bullshit. I'm not supporting Hillary. Fuck her and her hysterical, racist, and desperate supporters.
Next time, I'll compare Hillary to Hitler.
Go Oprah and Obama.

Obama is a lightweight
Deloresflower cited to a couple efforts by Senator Obama to sponsor legislation and two visits abroad. I still see a lightweight. Hillary was meeting with international leaders long before Obama became a Senator. I am still looking for any legislation that Obama passed which helped on the issues that were dear to him as a young community organizer. That helped the ordinary American. That Obama took his own words to heart and served as an agent for change. Made law helping the common folk with his skills of bringing people together.

Obama is a big "NO!"
What a relief! I thought I was the only one who finds Oprah annoying and hypocritical.
She muzzles her employees and sets up a silly school where kids are treated uh....not well.
The cult of Oprah is as annoying as the cult of Obama. Well intentioned but in actual execution, not so wonderful.
We Americans have not done our homework on "Fresh Face" Obama. This is not the time to form a shallow cult based on untruths. Are we that starved for integrity that we would settle for Style over Substance?
Obama is not as he appears to be. If you look at his history you will see someone different.
Also, I found it offensive that Obama only trotted out his white mom when the occasion warranted it.
When Oprah adapted her deep southern accent when announcing Obama it was like watching Hillary Clinton in the Deep South. Both of their accents were a joke.
We need to dig deeper into Obama before we even start to consider him to be at the helm of our country. When I started reading more, I was troubled.
