The ad in question was juvenile and unnecessary to begin with. When I read about the "Betray Us" line, the first thing to go through my mind was "Ellen Degenerate".
Democrats need to fight and fight hard, but making silly puns out of someone's name is beneath the dignity of any serious politician or organization. In addition to being undignified, the attack was not necessary. Petraeus is just another pawn being used by the Cheney-Rove squad. What good could possibly come from attacking him?
What was done to John Kerry can never be allowed to happen again. Democrats can't be afraid to get their hands a little dirty fighting the lies of the right, but gleefully splashing in raw sewage is taking it too far.
