Favorite Nuts in this week's Paglia Fruitcake

How UNFAIR the Press has been to Sarah Palin when you think

about Chelsea. You know, cause the press was so generous and

fair to the Clintons.

More shame on Walsh for continuing to carry this miserable

dope and letting her spout off unanswered.

Palin's Statement May be Unambiguous

I'm not sure why the MSM is having so much difficulty understanding Sarah Palin's speech. I think that her quitting the Governorship is a very clear statement that she is not planning to run for the Presidency.

First of all, if Palin had any desire for the Presidency, why on earth would she quit the Governorship? She isn't an idiot. I'm sure she realizes that that her quitting seriously undercuts her credentials for the Office of President.

And there is no compelling reason for her to quit (that we know of). She is not facing Impeachment or criminal charges or scandal (that we know of).

Secondly, her basketball analogy reinforces this statement. She does not in any way say that she intends to leave politics. She is merely going underground, like a pretty Joker to Obama's Batman.

Perhaps she has come to a more accurate self-realization. Perhaps (hopefully) she has come to realize that she is woefully unqualified to be President.

However, she is an enormous talented, Obama-class speaker, who is literally the ONLY Republican alive who can draw a crowd of more than 25 people.

This is what she is saying, in her basketball analogy. She will lead the Republican team drive with her energy, charisma, and speaking ability. But she will pass the ball to someone more capable of running for office.

At the same time, she is not saying point-blank that she will not run. But I think that she would only run if she was absolutely drafted.

Once again, I can't really understand the justification for the MSM to be beating her up so badly. I think that it is really the ObaMorons who are behind it because Palin was the only politician with the balls to criticize Obama. And she got in plenty of right hooks.

While it is not a brilliant strategy, it may just be that quitting is something that Palin just had to do for the sake of her own sanity. Like little Lilliputian vampires, her critics are bleeding her dry. They are draining her tremendous energy.

My advice to Palin: 1) Ignore your liberal critics. You have the positive energy to bulldoze them. You are wasting your energy even thinking about answering their questions. 2) Do not, under any circumstances, have interviews with anybody to the left of Sean Hannity. The lefties only want to drain you. 3) Do not, under any circumstances, run for further political office. Like Bill Clinton, you can make millions just speaking at fund raisers, and that is your talent and your power. You are not qualified for the Presidency and never will be.

In conclusion, I think that quitting the Governorship is an ENORMOUSLY unambiguous statement. I don't understand why the MSM is too retarded to understand that.

It's important to keep reposting this:

Ms. Paglia: "Only a week before, Shepard had expressed fears about being killed. Given that apprehension, it is still inexplicable -- if the case is examined only through a political lens -- why Shepard would leave a public place in the company of such blatant thugs. A hate crimes law that claims to be able to penetrate the mind of the perpetrator should be equally open to questions about the victim."

The resignation just makes Palin look flaky - or hiding a secret

""Why provide more fodder for the vultures and harpies of the Northeastern media?""

We right-wingers were waiting for Palin to take these creatures on and show the country a good fight. The sudden resignation does exactly the opposite.

A Republican in "Rebupublican's" clothing?

Ah Camille,

I usually or rather occasionally read your column and just shake my head. As long as someone has the title REPUBLICAN after their name you continually defend a lot of indefensible antics. I know, you're a Democrat, and while I appauld all people able to think outside party lines you should just switch parties already! Come out of denial, it's so much easier to live the truth. You are a clever piece of work but reading your column gives hypocrites, like you, too much power.

...lest ye be judged

You wrote: "The vicious double standard is pretty obvious. Only the tabloids, for example, ran the photos of a piss-drunk Chelsea Clinton, panties exposed, falling into her car outside London clubs a few years ago. If Chelsea had been the scion of Republican bigwigs, those tacky scenes would have been trumpeted from pillar to post in the U.S. as signals of parental failures or turmoil in clan Clinton."

I don't see this as bias, but rather on judging people based on the values they themselves claim to uphold. Republicans, far more than Democrats, preach about "family values" and attempt to dictate how others must behave. Thus, it is far more significant when one of them (or their family members) misbehaves.

Palin Agonistes

Dear Camille,

How a woman of your substance and intellect can continue to support the android Palin boggles the mind.

Perhaps you misunderestimate the intelligence of the American audience, most of whom see right through her folksy masque to the charmless ambition beneath.

And Palin cleaned Biden's clock? What debate were you watching?

Biden completely dominated her all flash no substance sputtering, nailing home zinger after singer, and making her look like she just fell off the turnip truck.

I recommend you revisit the video tape.

Just because politics is spectacle doesn't mean we have to swallow it for its face value.

You're a smarter, savvier woman than this. Please recant asap.

To: Lost in Berlin - Re. Palin Ain't Bailin'

It is not difficult to read the tea leaves on Palin: one must simply be an original thinker. I garnered my data from reading Palin's comments to the Time Mag. and WSJ reporters while standing in waders in the river at Dillingham, as well as interpreting the manifold negative comments from those who oppose her - MANY mention the "ethical" charges, but NONE mention the background surrounding these charges. They consist of 15 claims that she misused state funds by doing such things as taking a child on a state plane without buying a ticket for the child. All 15 have been tossed. If you do not challenge each one, you are guilty as charged of ethical lapses and can be thrown out of office: the media love the words "ethical charges" but fails to explain what this is about or any of the circumstances. Obama spends millions to take his wife to NYC for dinner at taxpayer expense on AF ONE and not a word. The guy [ Purdouche or Purdum, they sound alike ] who wrote the hitpiece for Vanity Faire on Palin last week, a husband to one Clinton staffer known as Dee Dee Myers, is a guy described by Clinton himself as: a "scumbag", "dishonest", and "real slimy" [ this a husband to Clinton's own chief assistant ]. Another thing - Palin is a Christian in the truest sense - she genuinely believes that the Obamas of the world are taking this country down the primrose path - and her biggest fan is Ann Coulter - Univ. of Michigan Law School graduate who knows an honest conservative woman when she sees one - and yet another very strong real Christian woman as well - who has to take security guards to speak at our own Little Pyongyangs in the US known as liberal arts campuses. Palin is going to tear Obama and the Democrat Party a new asshole and they already know it -hence, the loud noise from their and the McCain, Huckabee,Barbour peanut gallery. Fans are ordering popcorn in large quantities at Costco to await the forthcoming 15-round events. Even Fox and Karl Rove havn't gotten the full concept down yet - and then there's this fartette in Alaska named Shannyn Moore, who yells to Olbermann "I will not be muzzled", yet uses grammar like "I woken". The world needs to see a couple of real Christian women in action [ Coulter and Palin ]-who believe that the US is, despite Obama and his gold-colored background Egyptian-esque Muslim background drapery for his White House press soirees, is, yes, a Christian 'city on a hill" and that the Declaration of Independence is biblically-based - not the Al Sharpton-inspired " get even with whitey" comments uttered at the Michael Jackson wake.
