Can Palin ever come back?

A closer look at the words of Obama, Depeche Mode and U2. Plus: Why do straight actresses make the best lesbo porn?

Here we go again

We say black, Camille says white. You have built an entire career on being a contrarian. But what's the purpose, enlightenment? fairness? I'm just not getting it.

Wednesday, July 8, 2009 10:49 AM

Wow, chlling words in the comments area

I expect to be shocked by liberals wherever found (youtube, democratundergroud), as they truly are the new Communist movement, godless, vicious, self-righteous.

But the ones posting are at least posing as conservatives. Yes, I realize conservatives can behave like jerks too. Yet to a large extent, they have far better manners, along with generally being better informed and willing to engage on substance rather than character assaults.

Moreover, I have witnessed liberals masquerading as conservatives, acting like creepazoids in order to give conservatives a bad name. Yes, liberals are quite willing to deceive in order to accomplish their goals.

But if those comments are by conservatives, shame. If liberals, well, they know no shame anyway, so bothering to preach morality of any kind is an exercise in futility.

To Camille, if they are conservatives, and while I know you can discern the majority from a few dweebs, let me extend a note of sympathy for being forced to endure such insanity.

Sara Palin Article

Camille, I want to thank you for being one of the few liberals who can interpret the news without any bias. I agree with everything your article said about Palin and I am sick of people attacking her and her family. The interesting thing is that, try as they might, they can't find a single legitimate thing that she has done wrong. Nobody has been picked apart by the media more and yet they can't pin anything on her because she is one of the few politicians that has integrity. Why is it that a woman who has been very successful can't get credit where credit is due? Because she is a conservative!

Kudos!

I always enjoy your evenhanded commentary. As a Conservative myself, you debate with fairness not with unfounded bile. Keep it up and infect the other cretins in your camp with rationality, Cam.

Read the Posts, Skip the Article

This woman is so long winded and meanders so much, I don't even read the article any more, I go straight to the comments which are more interesting. But folks, here's the scoop, it's like an election. If we really want to lose Camille for good, we have to stop posting comments to her articles. This is my last.

Wow, a ton of posters who've only ever posted once....

This was linked to from Drudge, n'est-ce pas? Figures. They do realize that he's a self-hating closet queen.

We Now Know

After reading about two-thirds of Ms. Paglia's incoherent screed, I now know who is writing the "wingnut" columns in Salon, and I share that information with you.

Maybe it is time to take this fight outside.

Palin's Plan

By Roger Stone

"It was 1962. Richard Nixon had had enough. Enough of being called "Tricky Dick, the man no one would buy a used car from." Enough of the elitist derision that had come his way since the Hiss case. He had had enough of the liberal media who consistently held him to a higher standard than his Democratic opponents and poked fun at his lack of sophistication - he being the son of a grocer. So Nixon blew. He announced the end of his career in seeking elective office; "You won't have Dick Nixon to kick around anymore because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference." Six years later he was inaugurated as President of the United States."

http://stonezone.com/

Palin has been hit with 15 ethics charges, many completely frivolous, all but two already dismissed. But she has been spending 80% of her time defending against these charges. She could not do her job, or advance the agenda of her Administration. It has cost the state $2 million thus far to investigate the charges, and cost Palin $500,000 to defend against them. And there was no end in sight. Mike Huckabee says that he suffered the same thing as a Republican Governor with a Democratic legislature, but it is not the same thing at all. The only other national figure that I know of who received that treatment was Newt Gingrich.

It is a textbook tactic of communist revolution. Bring one charge after another against the target. True or false, serious or frivolous, dismissed or not, it does not matter. No one's reputation can survive it, and no one's nervous system can survive it.

The philosophical ideal for communism/socialism is Plato's "Republic". (A

more accurate translation is "The State".) In Plato, all political power is

held by an elite aristocracy of philospher/kings. Their edicts are enforced

by a powerful caste of military/police. Everyone else is manager/worker. It

is only within this third group that class distinctions are abolished.

Women and men are equal in the work

force. All women belong to all men, and vice versa. Children of these

promiscuous unions are raised by the state. Since this class has no

political power or responsibility, they need no education beyond vocational

training.

Plato taught that enlightened men should use any means available to

destabilize existing society, to prepare the way for the new world order.

Down through the ages intellectual revolutionaries have perfected various

tactics, which are published and taught. The intimidation and deceit which

we routinely encounter in the global warming debate, the taking control of

key gatekeeping posts for the transmission of information and power, the

underhanded slanders against the reputation of opponents, etc.- all these

are textbook tactics. These tactics are freely discussed in leftwing

publications, and

copiously documented by the right.

@LLinLA

Gimme a break, dude - everyone in America knows that the folks who are twisted beyond reason with hate and bile are you nutty conservatives.

You can't turn on rightwing hate radio these days without hearing Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity or any of the other geniuses spew their crazy hatespeech against the rest of us.

Sorry, but you Republicans started this crazy partisanship and hatespeech way back under Lee Atwater - so don't start whining when it comes back to bite you in your dumb, hateful asses.

Purdon Exposed

Years ago I used to enjoy the gossipy, detailed coverage of political and business figures in Vanity Fair, getting a secret thrill out of seeing the foibles of the rich and powerful exposed, but that has faded.

VF is just a political organ now for the Left and its POV so skewed as to make its reportage more irritating than enjoyable.

Todd Purdom has stooped again to National Inquirer level of journalism. Just as he did last Summer with his hatchet job on Bill Clinton, he now pounces on Sarah Palin. All must fall in the shadow of Obama.

Paglia to her credit takes apart this little man (Purdom) and gave me just enuf insight into his despicable reportage as to confirm the validity of my reluctance to read his piece on a figure, Palin, I find remarkable and very interesting.
