Empowering Women

Dear Camille,

As a Woman, I am sure you are aware that the Men of the World are Male Chauvinist Pigs (MCP), whether they/we like to be or not.

The main reason we are fighting Muslim Extremism (Iraq. Iran, and Afghanistan) is that they (Muslim Extremism) denigrate Women in their Culture and World. When Muslim Women are empowered towards equality, all Women of the World are positively affected.

To a different degree, Women in the Majority (Educated, Mothers, who believe in God) in the US, are denigrated by certain minorities that want to show they are NOT Normal. The reality purveyed by the likes of many in the Media, Hollywood, Letterman, and NOW is not REAL.

Sarah Palin is a Woman in the Majority (Normal) who has been denigrated by the likes of the Media, Hollywood, Letterman, and NOW because she threatens their definition of their Normalcy or lack thereof.

A potential best use of Sarah Palin’s talents might be to lead a campaign for Woman’s Equality – to Empower the Women in our Nation and World. This may or may not lead to a run for President, but would irrevocably affect our and the World’s Culture in a very Positive way.

Minorities have and will continue to squeak for their causes that are portrayed in the Media, Hollywood, Letterman, and NOW, as their version/definition of Normal. It is time to fight back, squeak, and redefine what is Normal and Abnormal. Sarah Palin can lead this discussion on many fronts, and whether she becomes our President or not, she can be proud that Abnormally motivated minorities are shown in their proper light.

Best Regards, Tom Bishop, MCP

@ krzmarzick

Cavemen didn't fight dinosaurs; They used them. Haven't you ever seen the Flintstones?

Ick!

As to Paglia's claims that Palin won the debate with Biden, I respectfully disagree. As to her comments about Matthew Shepherd, I'm just disgusted.

Molly Ivins!

You're back!

You're Full of Shit Camille

Seriously. Everything you say is total garbage. You're not an intellectual or a even a real academic. Your entire field of study and academic "career" is nothing but nonsense.

Real academics who actually earned their credentials laugh at you. You are a relic of the dead-end, discredited "postmodern" movement of the 1980s that most folks just laugh at now.

Your entire field of study was nothing but a silly fad and your 15 minutes was over a long time ago.

You add nothing to the national discourse and you fill your students' heads with vacous garbage.

You're a capering clown and a con artist.

Please go away.

Also...

Why are all of your pop culture references so old and outdated? U2? Depeche Mode? You really ARE a relic of the '80s... which explains your played-out haircut, granny! ROFL

@ Invisigoth

Camilia - you are a democrat in name only as confirmed by your constant vilification of the left. You might as well shift parties since you are obviously not happy with the democrats. Hell, register as an independent but don't proclaim to be something you obviously are not.

===============================================================

Just what are the requirements these days to remain a Democrat "in good standing"?

By your standards, as I read it, are:

1. Democrats may not constantly criticize anyone on the left.

2. Democrats may not even be openly unhappy with other Democrats.

Sounds like there's not a whole lot of breathing room in your party affiliation - just sayin'

Camille

On December 13 2008 in the San Francisco Bay area, a 28 year old lesbian was knocked over the head with a blunt object and then gang-raped repeatedly for 45 minutes while they screamed anti-gay slurs at her the whole time. The police described her physical and emotional trauma as "beyond fathomable". They attacked her BECAUSE she was gay. Prop 8 had just been passed and she had a rainbow sticker on her car.

So seriously, what exactly do you not get about hate crimes?

Do you think black men were lynched in the 60s (when they were seeking equal rights) for no special reason? Do you think anti-gay extremists screaming "get back in your closet" and "God hates Fags" isn't supposed to have a particular effect? Do you think singling out gay people to enact violence means nothing in the larger scheme of things? Do you think that those people inflicting the violence don't have a particular purpose? Do you think that their belief that they have the right to act that way toward a particular set of people is ok? Do you also believe they have that right?

Furthermore, as a lesbian I'm ecstatically happy to hear that you don't think I'm attractive or that lesbo porn is hot.

Lesbian porn is not meant for you anyway. Why? You are not a lesbian. It's meant for lesbians (i.e. not you). So of course you are not going to find it hot. Lesbians do though. Just don't watch lesbian porn if you don't want to watch lesbian sex.

The difference between actual lesbian porn and straight porn involving two women is that the women actually might be into each other and enjoying it rather than just enjoying what THOSE VIEWING the sex think. That's right, they might actually be getting off ON EACH OTHER! If you can fathom that. The difference between the two is the difference between two people experiencing sex together and those who are just having sex.

And I think the one real lesbian on "The L Word" was the most adorable and realistic btw. "Alice" actually had a cute quirky personality while the other characters seemed pretty cardboard cut-out women figures. Except Kate Moenig's of course but her real sexuality is unknown.

@Pattieb -- Funniest most hypocritical post in this thread

"The hate toward anything conservative from liberals has become an acceptable practice. This group of people are so full of rage that even winning elections and being in control politically does not feed this desire to destroy anything that even remotely disagrees with them. .... These pathetic idiots are destroying this country."

Are you freakin' kidding me? I'm the first one to admit that libs can be pretty ugly when talking about conservatives, but a few questions for you:

Have you never visited Freerepublic, Redstate, LittleGreenFootballs, or any right-wing site?

Have you never heard Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, Savage, Beck, O'Reilly? (I could go on and on listing the conservative hate-spewing talking heads.)

As for "destorying anything that even remotely disagrees with them" -- did you miss the hate, vitriol, insanity that was thrown at Bill & Hillary Clinton from wingnuttia? Oh wait....it's still going on!

You and so many right wingers decry the hate by the left as if your treatment of progressives is all sweetness and light. STOP THE HYPOCRISY! It is nauseating.

As for Palin ---- this country was nearly destroyed by the Bush administration, and George Bush was a genius compared to Sarah Palin. We are going to do everything we possibly can to keep Palin from higher office. She. is. not. qualified. Period!
